Just bear in mind that any batches of food that you make but don't eat immediately, will need to be stored in a fridge or freezer!
Had a quiet day here. DH is full of cold, so I have shown him where to find the squeezy ginger, bottle of lemon juice, sweeteners, kettle and tap, and he has made himself a few mugs of hot lemon and ginger
I have finished wrapping presents, taken Rosie for a walk, conjured up meals from leftovers and done some more knitting.
GWS vibes to Lame Wolf and the pigpen tribe xx

I would do what Ionafan has suggested, with the added proviso of dumping anything where the wrapping has been compromised.
But I would be thawing enough to remove packaging as we have a bin for raw/cooked unwanted food which needs to be out of packaging t9 be recycled.
Black bin emptied. Despite extra day and Christmas it wan't *quite* full!
It's very dark still...
Need to buy DD a new job card and a birthday card for nieces fianc!.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
As above re the freezer, but then I'd also get rid of the freezer to avoid hoarding unnecessary food again.
Morning all. Will fly for 30 mins while it's still dark then walk the dogs and then it's paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Our day involves 'cleaner proofing' the house.
Just the front room & the hallway to go, everywhere else is done.
Then some 'out of the house' chores - tip, charity shop, supermarket and bits and bins like that.
Hubby is working today, but it's in a Jewish venue, so will be home around three and not back until about 6 tomorrow.
Not sure what else to do with our day, will see what transpires.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.
We had a lovely evening out last night at the local not-a-panto. Lots of improvising and line changing from the cast which was hilarious.
Today we are off to a friend’s for lunch. It’s a bit of a trek but I’m hoping we are back home at a reasonable time. After that I really will have to get my flying hat back on. I need to do everything on the list today especially the fridge / freezer sort out. Oh and the HHI, of course.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi all
I have properly cleaned the kitchen, put away the champagne flutes, spare wine glasses, christmas plates and chucked the nice table cloth in the wash. Made me feel a lot better - it was very messy in there!
The LR is a different story but I am leaving that for now.
Have registered 3 new mobile phones on our gadget insurance - probably a good job as DS1 is going horse riding today with his in his pocket.
Will strip the bed when DH gets out of it. The boys beds probably want doing as well but they can sort that themselves - part of my early NY resolution to do less for them (which will need some willpower).
Not sure what else today brings - quite fancy going out somewhere but it needs to be spend free, will see what DH thinks when he surfaces.0 -
Morning flyfriends x
Fell asleep yesterday about 5pm and woke up about 8pm, cue a rotten nights sleep, been up and down all night.
TD and WM are on.
Meal planning is now underway, just need to go through the cupboards to see what I need at the supermarket.
DD has a friend from school coming over today, a male one. According to her he's totally gorgeous but they are just pals. This is giving me the fear
Need to go down see if I can fit all the rest of the rubbish in the bin best put clothes on for that.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Feel your pain with boys FFPrincess. My DD1 has her first boyfriend, they often go to his house (I hope his parents are sensible) and tonight are off to the cinema; not the back row I hope!
Have swept the porch and done some dailies. Taking the horse out for a 7 mile drive and then will try and remember to take DD2 to the cinema this afternoon.0
