Glasses collected, shopping done, lunch still being munched. I've also done a quick hoover through the house.
Bathroom bins emptied, that's me done for today. Relaxing afternoon planned with DH (when he gets home) and a takeaway tonight.
'See' you all tomorrow when I promise to eat my frog.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Been and spent a lovely day driving and then watching a driving competition so no flying done but I'm off to wash the kitchen floor.
Looking forward to the new year when all returns to normal but until then I'll tread water instead of flying.0 -

You are what's important - and what you've hit on is dot-to-dotting. You've dealt with a 'dot' and cleared an area. Now you KEEP THAT CLEAN - so you can now wash up recycling at the end of each wash up session then leave it to dry then bin it. By dealing with a dot you will, eventually, join the dots...and your house will be the haven you desire.
Thank you Valli xx Second bowl of pots has been WUDUPA and bowl reloaded. End of pots is in sight. Then I have glass jars and bottles to wash and recycle. And THEN wash up pots / recycling [STRIKE]must[/STRIKE] will be done daily while it's a ten minute job and not left and left...and left ... until it is a nightmare of epic proportions.
Round... I’ve discarded my planet saving for now too everything went in the black bin.. I simply don’t have the time or the mental energy to deal with everything.. my house looks like a skip and I need to deal with that first.
Same here Piggers xx My black bin is now full - and won't be emptied until Thursday - but I'm hoping my Dad will let me 'share' his bin this week. (He only lives round the corner.) DS and friends are partying in pigpen-land tonight - he's 26 tomorrow. Hope they don't wake you with their drunken revelry!!Roundtoit I'm still dotting now, been sorted a couple of times then go back to dotting, been on this board 12 years lol

Thank you lil me xx I hope you found the card and cash... which reminds me: I need to put some cash in DS's card ready for tomorrow.

Roundtuit you're doing a great job.
Today has been reasonably active:
- 1 load washing on and optimistically hung out; brought in damp but ok after hanging around the place for a while.
- ex hall table and phone seat taken to charity shop.
- bought and sent a sympathy card to friend whose Mum sadly passed yesterday after suffering a stroke (one of several in the last few years) on Christmas day. Really feel for her as although her mum had little quality of life in the last few years so we wish her peace, my friend's Dad died the week before Christmas several years ago.
- few bargains got in Tesc0 including some great glittery stick things half price which I use in flower arranging. And a newspaper for our elderly neighbours as curiously the village shop is closed for 10 whole days over the festive season.
- and talking of flowers.....made an arrangement for friends who are coming to tea tomorrow; a bit glittery but more like New Year and spring (i.e. with some yellow flowers and catkins) than total Christmas.
- Made an arrangement using all the flowers and general shrubbery that's been standing around in buckets. I don't know where I will put it as the house is full of arrangements, but at least it is all used up and buckets/craft box/debris put back in the garage.
- vacuumed hall, lounge, kitchen and bottom half of stairs.
- made a chilli for tomorrow eve.
- started making a veggie wreath for this evening's supper (no not a veggie arrangement unless you count laying it on the pastry!).
- tackling some report writing while Mr N is at MIL.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thank you Narc0 xx I did briefly throw in the towel when DS and GF popped in - bringing in 2 bags of Christmas presents and 3 bags of birthday presents... noooo, not more stuff, we really do not need more stuff. But at least it is stuff and not rubbish!
I had to laugh though - first thing GF did was trip up - I told you she needs floor :rotfl:

I spent some time creating some bullet journal type sheets a few days ago. I'm not artistic enough to hand create journal pages, so whip up functional pages on the computer to add to my organiser. My daily jobs sheet is working really well, I'm keeping on top of the day to day stuff and feel calmer for it.
Just one room left to de Christmas next week, then the proper decluttering starts.
Have a lovely evening everyone.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Had been given a £30 Amazon gift card for Xmas. The person put it in a small box and wrapped it up to disguise it. Unfortunately the OH tidied the room (why? he never does that!) and threw the Tesco receipt away that was also in the box. Just tried to add the card to my account and it says the card number doesn't exist.

Roundtoit what about an in and out rule? It's something I'm trying to add in for a couple of months, done before on here as a group, for everything that comes in equal in quantity goes out, so I bought 4 new towels and I ragged a towel, 4 tatty pillow cases, a bleach stained top and 16 orphaned socks
Meant no matter how much came in, I threw something out
Children been out for a meal with their cousins, making an effort to spend time together which is lovely. OH and I went out for a meal while they were out, been nice, movie time then I'll empty and refill the dishwasher see what else I can potter and do, might declutter some chocolate, I've only put on 3lb over December, a little surprised but we do have lots of cheese left
Just figured out I will be £600 a month down from this month, then I have the caravan park bill due in March .... head out of the sand hence I'm needing to find my OS ways I lostOne day I might be more organised...........
