    Thanks for the advice

The older (not meaning age) flyladies are aware I have a major issue on hoarding. In fact bought more meat yesterday as it was cheap. I know. Stems back to being unable to afford food. Hate waste. God knows been battling it for years. Freezer is a scary back up plan I must tackle. I’ve actually thrown some things out this week we have kept. Paper I’ve had for over 20 years and more. I shall try to empty some of my other 2 freezers (there is also 3 at work) and make a start

FFP I am relieved to only have boys!

  • Hi all

I'm quite pleased with myself today I've been up and down the stairs with rubbish that was too big to go in the chute that's been hanging around since Christmas day. I've done a huge chunk of the scullery cleaning and made a dent in Ben Washing.
Dinner is cooking. That's the most I've done in days.
Not so pleased with the fact that the wobbly filling has come out and I can't get an appointment till the next year! :rotfl:
Meal plan done, so I'll hit the supermarket tomorrow morning and drag DD with me to help.
Got myself a budget planner so I'm going to have a bit of time with that tonight.

Lil_me probably said before but my aunt is the exact same. She had a bit of a tough time and couldn't afford food so now she hoards. She has 2 freezers and chest freezer too but she lives alone. To be fair she's not as bad now as she was a few years ago. Baby steps pal, you'll get to where you want to be xxx

Actually managed a short run this morning; nothing too slinkie is happening atm and I've just cut a slice of xmas cake while I'm typing . . .
Washed up and minor tidy of kitchen.
Watched an old film plus the Xmas Call the Midwife.
    Filled bird feeders.
Checked garden; needs some time spent in it.
    Wrote part of a report.
    Sent off a uni invoice.
Generally a mix of prolonging togetherness and Christmas fun while phasing in normal life. My brother is returning to our "hotel" for 2 nights tomorrow as he's got the work to finish near here.

Been to Meadowhell with DD in the search for workwear. Took us an hour to get out of the car park. Went to Doncaster to get stuff out of her flat as we 'are halfway there' but it makes sense - once she starts working she'll not have the energy I wouldn't have thought. But the plan to iron went out of the window and I now have a mountain of washing to do. And 3 gift bags reduced to 20p (bottle bags which I will need come the end of the school year) and some frillies from Boux Avenue.
Home via the new co-op. I have ys fish pie, DD's having ys fish cake and there's a YS lasagne in the freezer. And wine...I have wine. I feel I deserve wine as it happens.

  • Being good didn't last. Grumpy dismissal of other people's excited and happy news doesn't go down well when you've been given empty promises of exactly the same things repeatedly over years and you're the only person they've never happened to. Probably because you're the only mug who is stuck working their backside off on their own with no support.

He's decided that, in view of my comments, he's not going to spend ten out of twelve hours locked away in the studio today. Which wasn't anything to do with what I said.

Ah well, only ten days until I [strike]find out when I'm being made redundant[/strike] go back to work.

  • Hi all x

Had some get up and go there so I used it to clean the filters on the WM and wash out the condenser. I've also folded the laundry and hung a load on the winterdyke to dry. Was going to clean the oven but I took one look at it and thought it's gonna take a while so I'll leave it till later :o will really need to try and do it tomorrow at some point.
I have a cuppa now so I'm going to chill :coffee:

Made lasagna more to go in freezer lol decided going to make some ready meals for work as have been buying them may as well use the stocks and guess it'll mean a gradual freezer reduction. Added myself to the using up your freezer thread, feel sick

OH been out all day so I cleared the sofas of their junk & came in to sort laundry while I watched some 2017 Casualty. Dogs made themselves comfy as I went for laundry. Cheeky sods.

Dishwasher to empty, table to clear and refill it and food to box up. Then freezer to shuffle to get this meat in

:rotfl:Ok spurred by nothing else fits in the freezer I'm cooking a curry it's that or fry the diced steak off and freeze tomorrow so korma style in the pressure cooker I'll add the yoghurt & cream when I come to use it, less to freeze & won't split

    Still dishwasher to do. Forgot

Morning all, up really early as DH had to go to work. No dogs as they're on dog share for the weekend.

Today I plan to do some flying. I also need to pick up my new glasses and get a few bits in town.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning all

Feeling a bit flat this morning, despite a really nice day yesterday. Not looking forward to back to reality I suppose.

Going to parents for lunch tomorrow and present swapping as they were away over Christmas. Not sure what the plans are for today.

Have a good Saturday everyone x
