Do you ?????0 -
This is very creepy now.
Whether you agree with my views on gifts or not Sandra, my posts are on the topic started by the OP.
Yours are about stalking me on here for some reason.0 -
No idea why but I thought I'd read previously Red Squirrel was female.
Interesting how people can make assumptions:)
OP you should have just kept the receipt you found when tidying up/throwing stuff away in a safe place. Broached the subject with your son & then let him know you had kept the receipt in a safe place. Hope he takes the conversation in good faith0 -

It's easy to get it wrong, I think I have may have picked it up when there was some kind of exchange between her and another name. We are not all mind readers you know
, next time I will refer to all posters as poster or name
I've been called many names, not all good, so in the scheme of things, a mountain out of a mole hill,
Again, sorry dear OP, as you can see another mate has arrived eg Duchy the same poster that had its post removed that was aimed at me a couple of weeks ago.0 -
OP appears to have wisely stopped posting on this thread. If those with a personal vendetta would troll off elsewhere, it would save all other posters who have kept the discussion on its original topic from unsubscribing.

Haven't read the thread (sounds like it descended into chaos as usual) but would get one of his brothers to tell him he found the receipt and he's got the wrong game so it can be changed before Christmas. Sorted. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Thank you, his brothers are 6 and 3 and don't even know what the playstation is :rotfl:Money_maker wrote: »Haven't read the thread (sounds like it descended into chaos as usual) but would get one of his brothers to tell him he found the receipt and he's got the wrong game so it can be changed before Christmas. Good plan otherwise though, I'll keep it in mind for a few years down the road!0 -
I'd act delighted and quietly change it after Christmas, but my kids wouldn't bat an eyelid if they found out I'd done that. If I told them on Christmas day there's a chance they'd feel embarrassed or guilty and I wouldn't want that.
However you know your son and his reactions best, so just go with your gut feelings about how best to deal with it.2022. 2% MF challenge. £730/30000 -
So have you decided to tell him/have already told him?0
-
I haven't decided for certain, but I think I will tell him and make it really lighthearted. I think he is mature enough to accept it in the good spirit it is intended, and I would rather him tell me if I got him something he already had.So have you decided to tell him/have already told him?
I'm away from Boxing Day lunch until Saturday, so he will have a chance to change it before I get to play it, so no plans are being ruined and it will just become a running joke amongst ourselves.
We like to laugh, and it was a simple mistake that anyone can make, and we are all able to laugh at ourselves in this family. I know if I had made the mistake, I would rather he told me so I could change it so I will extend him the same courtesy. After all, he is 20 not 8 years old, if it was one of the other children then I would keep quiet, but he is an adult now and I treat him like one.0
