About to buy Gas Boiler breakdown cover for £4.55 a month - the contractor has an advert in Landlord & Letting mag.
Has anyone used www.dialarodheatingcover.com. They offer no excess, 6 months free cover, unlimited cover and unlimited call outs. Your opinion/s welcomed.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
I took out a homecare 100 plan with BG on 3rd December online, received an email saying ,if I didnt give boiler make and model to call them and let them have it. I rang this morning and the guy who answered the phone said I wasnt on the system yet, applying online can take several weeks!!!! :S, so he couldnt take my make and model. Just wondering if anyone knows when I will be covered from? would it be 3rd Dec? or 17th December (if we aint covered for the first 14 Days)? or will it go from when they actually put it on their systems? Cannot email them as I dont have an account number which is required on their online contact us. Not on their system so I cant get any info on the phone from them.
Im beginning to wonder if I made the wrong decision. Please help. Cheers0 -
Have been on British Gas site as I'm in the need of boiler and central heating cover and selected their Homecare 200 package. Went through the steps and said I wanted to pay no excess on any repairs and an annual boiler service.
The quote it has come up with me for is £17. Does this sound reasonable or could I get the same elsewhere a bit cheaper?
Thanks.0 -

They were on rogue traders a while ago. I looked at them when I was looking for cheap cover. I'd always be suspicious of a company that uses a name so similar to another company ie: Dyno Rod. In fact dynorod have a disclaimer on their website ensuring that everyone knows they are not associated with dialarod.
Personally, I would steer clear.0 -

Bump. Anyone?
When it is processed online the application is passed to administration and then stage 1 is processed. You then will get a letter confirming the contract and then its another week before the contract goes live. (Sounds really messed up but thats the way they must be done????.) You would be quicker setting it up over the phone and that means you don't have to call back again to book the service date.
Online & Post can be quite long winded espescially at this time of year. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -

Thanks Gerrard, not sure if it would be any quicker now, as Its nearly a week since, I did ask on Monday when I rang to give them the details could I set it up over the phone and cancel the online one, but they didnt seem to think there was any point0 -

The £11 a month deal is just Boiler breakdown cover it included no service or accidental damage cover, Just thought id mention that. You will not need to have a service done no but it is good practice to have it done. If you use local RGI's you will find the average full service to be around £70 - £80 i think. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0
