Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows of the cheapest way to buy/sell shares in US$, low volume, approx 100 shares per transaction, with a value of approx $10k, 2/3 transactions a year. Would be looking to keep the money in a US$ deposit a/c. Also would like to know if the money deposited within the account and any shares held in the account are guaranteed by the government irrespective of my nationality.

There are a number of brokers offering US trading, E*Trade, TD Waterhouse, and Barclays all offer USD accounts too AFAIK

Hi all,

I am a trading novice who had my first dip in the share dealing pool with RBS at 39p.

It is currently at 36p. I really dont have a clue as to if i should sell now and cut my losses or hold on for the long term.

Any advice would be great.

Lol, did you do any research or go in blind?

They are going doooooowwwwwwn imo, all the way to 25p.

I have paper shares in Dragon Oil-I bought years ago-and now I need to sell them-as I have never done this before-I need some kind person to let me know how to go about it exactly.

Having received helpful info about this company a while back on here, thought i'd ask for some more please. Could somebody explain in plain English what the statement about 'Dealing Disclosure Requirements' means in the newly released statement below, and if possible what it means to myself as a small shareholder in this company. I think I understand the rest.

It just means that if a large shareholder (holding over 1% of the company) buys or sells shares, they must declare it. So doesn't affect you. Probably. ;-)

I see they have still given no indication that they will buy shares off minority holders, nor that there will be any kind of dealing facility after delisting.

Looks like your only option is to sell before Wednesday. Fortunately, the share price hasn't been affected a great deal.
