I notice their annual report http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200909290700027855Z) does say they are taking advice on appropriate ways of carrying out the de-listing, including advice "on appropriate ways the Company may consider to enable the minority shareholders to realise their investments", so there may well not be any hurry to sell and you may be able to evaluate their plans (which sometimes include a mechanism for buying/selling the shares) as they become clearer.0

Well it's been 5 hours since they made the anouncement and the share price hasn't fallen through the floor yet (says touching wood) so will wait and see how it progresses.
Am I right in assuming the statement below means that the delisting will go ahead, it's just a matter of the details that are to be finalised?
'At the time of writing the company secretary holds irrevocable undertakings in favour of the resolution to de-list in respect of 83.66% of the total stake holdings and thus the de-listing.'0 -
Sounds like they are investigating the options but it looks like it's pretty well approved in principle.0
-
Not sure why they'd want to delist, what changes does that allow them.
I read recently that being a minority shareholder in a unlisted company is a bad idea. Its not like your'll be like one of the guys off the dragons den who can just pop round to ask what they doing.
Why not sell and rebuy if they come back to market, you can use the money elsewhere meantime0 -
Oh well, looks like the plan is to sit tight for the time being and if the wife asks how our shares are doing i'll smile and play dumb0
-
I may still sell Sabre, just don't want to panic sell and lose even more.0
-
Why not scale back, sell a bit or half even. Depends if you can use the money elsewhere in other ideas or not. If its completely surplus to requirements then it makes more sense to stay put I guess0
-
As they seem to want to enable minority shareholders to realise their investments, you may as well wait and see what's on the table. There may be some kind of tender offer prior to de-listing or there may be a facility for selling shares made available to you afterwards. If neither of those materialises, I'd be inclined to sell.0

I had a share delisted once and they sent me a cheque basically, no choice in the matter0
-
Thanks for your input guys, guess i'll wait and see for the time being. It looks like i'm going to take a hit in some shape or form, just hope it's not too severe or the wifes going to be putting the squeeze on. :eek:0
