    I've been Money Tipped!
Mickydes-so if you only bought the pyjamas would they show up as £5 on the itemised bill, then a 20% reduction after the subtotal? Making the entire bill £4 to pay at the till?

    Have I read it right?

Just managed to find chicken thighs marked up at £1.22 per lb but 99p per lb on shelf edge plus legs of lamb marked at £6.69 per kg on packs but £5.98 per kg on shelf. I don't think my local tesco was too chuffed that I spotted it before they did - after a had purchased some - yummy. Would have looked for other things too but I have no room left in my freezer!

If you tell them before you pay then they can refuse to sell it to you at that price. Once you have paid, you own it and they have to correct the price. Remember that these things fall under their refund and replace guarantee too. You won't save a single penny if you tell them before you buy it.

i paid at the till,as i have done a bit shopping then go to the cs desk.
they have a cardboard cut out in the packet of pyjamas saying girls £4 2pack.
i just show them the £5 at the top of the bill, and then show them the pyjamas saying there £4.
and they give me back £5 for every one i have got.

Are you doing them individually or buying several packs at once.

I think we only have 3 or 4 different customer service girls and I would get recognised if I kept coming back with the same thing.

Technically though they haven't in fact overcharged you, so a switched on CS assistant would refuse the refund.
