Sounds like a very successful expedition - well done!! I bagged another 4 today at a different store. Spotted a sign as I was queueing that said customers limited to six of any one item - so you did well to get eight :money: It did state that it included refunds, so I bet that's to cover their backsides with this refund policy!
My free brisket is in the slow cooker as I speak (had to make room for the chicken somehow!). Fantastic thread....I love it
I daren't even ask about vouchers today, the lady who served me scrutinised a Dolmio voucher that the customer in front handed over...and she'd bought the stuff!!0 -

Its was 2x4 in two differant stores.
Must remember that maximum of six, will pick up 6 of anything on this thread in future, then you have a cop out by saying as I THOUGHT it was on offer I purchased the maximum. lol0 -
i managed to get some chicken thighs x 3 packs on monday and while looking for these i noticed that the lean pork joints were marked on the shelf at £6.65 a kilo and £6.68 on the packet so i had 3 of these as well, after paying i went to customer services who couldnt see what the problem was and called the duty manager, he understood the problem and offered me £15 refund which i declined and said i would take up the refund and keep the item policy instead, he then ,with a wry smile gave me my £28.18 back.
I have now just come back from my little tescos and i noticed that the half lamb legs are priced £6.29 on the counter , but £6,69 on the packet, only 2 left as the lady was in the middle of replenishing all the meat, so i took these , after when i questioned it there was no problem , CS said oh dear we have overcharged you so you can keep the items and have a refund, to which i had to try and look surprised and say oh thank you, i wish i had bought more!!!
good luck to everyone finding more of these bargains, and thanks for making me aware of tescos policyADOPT DONT SHOP......🐕🐕🐕🐕0 -
Got the chicken thighs today...CS were rubbish...I had to gently guide them to the point of getting my money back for all 4 packets. The comments were
There's no problem our end as the 99p is per kilo, not per pound
I'll refund you the difference then
So I'll just refund this one packet, shall i?
Don't give me all the packets, I'll just scan in this one 4 times (he was holding the cheapest)
Did he not realise that he has nothing to say which can come close to the might of MSE?!
His collegue reminded him to go and take the label off the shelf...QUICKLY. Will leave it a few days and go back for the pork and lamb and do the innocent "Do you know this happened to me the other day?"Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Batley - Tesco Extra
Bradford (Nr Forster Sq) - Tesco Extra
Stratford upon Avon - Tesco Extra
Evesham - Tesco Extra
Have loads of vouchers to use but have been refused at several stores.
Thanks
The Bradford Canal Road Tesco definately accepts coupons - depends which checkout operator you get as to how many they will accept. Got £6.50 off a £20 shop on Saturday so not a bad amount.

Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0 -

I love this thread.
So much so that I decided to nominate it for post of the month.
Not sure if it qualifies as it was started a while ago but I dont care.
I wonder if when we have picked up a bargain and the CS person has removed the label which has happened in all my circumstances that we should report where we have been? Save people going to a specific store and there not being a bargain.
I wonder if I have room for pork or lamb in my freezer I hope so,this is soooooooooooooooo easy.
We had chicken salad yesterday and sweet and sour chicken(eaten by a fan)today I wonder how many days we could eat chicken on the trot b4 other half would say anything.0 -
its good fun finding all these meat giveaways!! but my other half says he will be eating it for months as I am vegetarian !!!ADOPT DONT SHOP......🐕🐕🐕🐕0

Picked up the last one on the shelf on my way home tonight- thanks!:D Absolutely spot on timing too as I've invited friends and family round for dinner on Sunday since my wife is on holiday.
Incidentally, the chicken thighs were mispriced too, but I didn't grab them as I didn't know what reception I was going to get at CS. After I explained the problem the girl there headed off to check that the ticket was in fact wrong, and then came back and gave me a refund straight away with no messing. I asked her if she'd taken the ticket off now and she said there was no need as there were no more joints on the shelf- yes dear but the price is still going to be wrong when you get more stock in! I'll be keeping an eye out now for when someone else is manning the CS desk!:beer:0
