  • I've been told my new direct debit will come out on 9th Jan, but I'm still unable to log into together's website. Seems pretty shoddy that they can already have calculated my new DD amount but can't let me check my account balance etc. Or indeed, change tariff.

You can still access one select website to view all your transactions including usage, bills and payments up to being taken on by the new provider.
  • Just looking at where to switch to next.. having had a nightmare switch from Iresa to OneSelect only to end up with Together energy now. I also cannot log into their website to check meter readings and bill details carried forward from OS. If they took all the OS staff, surely it cant take this long!

I agree - if I was being cynical, I might think it's to discourage us from switching away -surely not?:(
  • We had notice of a large increase from One Select in our monthly DD for dual fuel (£76 to £118 ish) while our account was actually in credit.

Checking our online account revealed that our projected usage was about correct without any increase in DD, so I phoned them and asked if they'd reconsider the amount of their payment increase, in light of the facts; they were not sympathetic!

A change of suppliers was initiated that day and we left One Select for a more reasonable company who charge us £95 monthly on DD.

Sadly we did not cancel our DD in favour of One Select and they duly took their £118 first & last DD payment, which means that One Select currently owe us about £85 which I do not expect to see anytime soon.

Is anyone else in a similar position? Anyone else know how to collect a debt from a collapsed energy supplier? Tia

I left OneSelect but I’m still waiting to reclaim my credit from them. Will Together Energy pay me for this?
Yes, we’ll honour credit balances for those customers who had already left OneSelect but still have credits owed. We’ll be in touch with you shortly to update you on the process.

I tried to switch earlier this week and my switch was blocked (I was informed just 2 working days later). You have little to lose by trying.
In an interesting update, I reached out to the supplier I am switching to and they confirmed Together completed the transfer of my energy supply on 24th December. They have therefore resumed my switch.

+1 The payment was not authorised by you as the mandate lapsed when you ceased to be a customer. Your bank must refund you.

Go back and tell the bank they are wrong. If they don't recall the DD raise a complaint.

I went back to my bank and got a little grumpy with them.

My £122 extra taken payment DD has now been returned, I just need to wait for Together Energy to process the remaining £35.41 credit

    Thanks,

I also cancelled my DD with one select as soon as I heard they had gone bust and before my December payment, this hasn't stopped Together energy taking a payment yesterday.
I called my bank & got them to cancel the DD that Together Energy set up without my permission. At the moment I’m happy to pay bills but am not going to set up a DD until I am a proper Together Energy customer with an account number & access to my account online where I can enter meter readings.
