#46 declaring £210 for October. Had to replace my old car so my total savings took a hit, but needs must.0

Hi, #112 reporting in for October with savings of £487. Less than expected but one of my expenses for November arrived early, so paid for that. November is still looking to be a lean month. December should be better, due to some savings maturing, but I expect to take a massive Christmas hit in January.Save £12k in 2023 #17: £19,085/£24,000 (79%)

#157 reporting -£777 for October and update form submitted. That included over £2K withdrawn from savings to pay for a 2 week walking holiday in Tenerife for myself and my wife. However, I upped my AVC contribution this month and still managed to transfer my usual amounts from wages to savings, so the overall effect was less than originally anticipated and I am still well over target for the year.
I am still trying to get refunds of money I had paid for Thomas Cook flights by credit card to a third party (Opodo)originally, so may see some money back at some point. At the moment I am getting the runaround. The credit card are saying they will only look at my case if my insurance company (Nationwide through a Flexplus account) write a letter to confirm they won't pay out. Nationwide are saying they will only look at my claim if the credit card company confirm they won't pay out. Catch 22 for me!0 -
Hi,
Catching up with my threads and challenges and notice that I didn't send an update form for September so I have just done this which was £50 as I had some credit card balance transfers to pay off so couldn't transfer as much as I wanted. I have also sent the form for October which was a better amount of £250.
Nearly there last push for the next month

Just input my updates from July to November as not kept up with my updates this year. Don't think I will make it to my £40k target but should make it to the £30k mark which I am quite happy about. Various expenses over the summer months including roof repairs and window repairs have eaten into possible savings but needed done as priority.
Great to see the updates on here. Well done everyone and thanks as always to SF for running the thread.0 -
A good couple of months of savings, boosted by a hunk of back pay. Just under a grand short of my target of 12£k with 2 months I expect I'll just exceed it. Good luck everyone striving for their targets, may you squirrel away all you can!0
