Number 124; sorry to be so late; we were waiting for 2 huge and delayed expenses payments. Our OP for April is 945.73. Thanks all for the continued inspiration, Planning to knuckle down to a frugal May to make sure we can make another OP!0

Hello everyone! It's great to see that some people are at the end of their mortgage free journey. Hopefully that will be me one day!
Anyway number 7 here with an overpayment of £178 this month, which means that I'm halfway there towards my target for the year. The next half of the year is going to be a harder slog as we'll have two kids in nursery until September and the fees will be eye watering! At least it's only temporaryMortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000 -
Morning,
Miserable outside but full of glee inside as we’ve moved a bit of money around to find a £1,000 bonus in the budgets.
That’s all gone to the mortgage so May OP now stands st £1,300.

#56 updating regular monthly overpayment for May
£781.27
Unlikely to find any more this month - starting to build up a holiday & insurance fund buffer to enable the regular payments to continue.
Keep up the good work everyone. I’m starting to work out where I will be in Sept 2023 when I come off my fix and hoping to have around 140k outstanding (my mortgage less my mortgage overpayment pot)
Still making lots of savings; £300 a month into shares and both have good pension schemes at work; focusing on reducing the monthly payment commitments. It’s satisfying breaking into the next £1,000 and £10,000 barrierMortgages Oct 2020: £308,283 Jul 2021 £286,600 October 2022 £253,456 MFW-22 #9 MFIT-T6 #350 -
