I’m so impressed at the laundry service, does he take washing in?

He might do @WinterWarrior but I wouldn't allow him to because I couldn't listen to the running commentary  :D I got the full details of how he put it in the machine, which setting he used, how he pegged it out then had to unpeg it all when it started to rain, how he put it in the dryer and finally how he folded it all up. If I was telling the same story I'd literally say "I've done a load of washing". Talk about making yourself sound busier than you actually are  :D
  • They are all the same 🤣 Since mine has been working at home all I hear from my office is his voice across the hall telling people how busy he is, no wonder he has no time 😬

Cashed out another £5 from Shoppix yesterday which went into Paypal. I've been a bit better with left over spends this week and divided the £13 between savings, charity, dog and hair & foot lady which I've now combined.

    Savings £95
    Dog Grooming £32
    Hair & Foot Lady £15
Christmas £351.51/£10 - bank and pot
Birthdays £65.48/£10 - bank and pot
    Charity £15.80
    PayPal £122.76

Off to the food pantry this morning and that's about it for today. Have a good one everybody. x

I wouldn't say manic @beanielou. It's open 3 mornings a week from 9.30am-12.30am and about 25 people shop there each day. That's about 8 people an hour, so a steady stream which means there's no time to sit down, but there's always time for a brew :D It's not a big room so because of the dreaded Covid they only let one person in at a time instead of the usual 2, but I think that works well. There are 2 people in the pantry, one who goes round with the trolley and one who takes the details and weighs the food at the end for some sort of statistic. There's an emergency foodbank in the building but I'm not sure how many people go there. I'd be interested in how many people go to yours, but if you don't want to say in public, PM me. x

Thanks @Sunshine_girl2. They're not growing as fast as usual but there's something in them so that's a better situatuion then a few weeks ago. Hubby worked so hard doing the washing he gave himself permission to have an afternoon nap! If I had a nap after every job I'd done I'd be asleep half the day  :D

    Evening All :)

Crikey, 10 days since I've been on here, time seems to be flying by now I've found myself some volunteering to do. As well as the 2 mornings at the food pantry, I do a toddlers group and have agreed to start a coffee morning at church so I'm being kept pretty busy at the moment.

Have you all managed to get petrol/diesel? Quite by chance we filled our cars up last week, just before the tabloids decided to induce panic buying  :#  Glad we did because there are queues at our local stations although nothing as bad as what's being shown on the news. I only have a small car, small enough that I don't even pay car tax, so I'm hoping my full tank will last me until all this has blown over and we've moved on to a difference crisis  :D

The good news is that chocolate is bountiful where I live. Popped into Wilko today and they have Xmas tubs on sale at 2 for £7. I'd have picked up 2 but hubby was with me so we walked out with 4!

I've been very good with my money the past couple of weeks and I know there's definitely more in the savings than there was when I last came on here but I can't remember the exact figure. Will have a count up tomorrow afternoon and see where I'm at.

Hope you've all had a good weekend. xx
