Morning
Day 17/31, Prolific £4.76 outstanding, Shoppix 1665/3200, Spends £35
Nothing extra went in the pots last week so they're all pretty much the same apart from PP having an extra £5.64 from a survey cash out.
Pots at end August week 2:
Savings: £45.00
Dog Grooming: £15
Hair: £8.50
Foot Lady: £1.50
Charity: £12.80
Christmas: £301.51/£8.00 (bank & pot)
Birthdays: £55.48/9.00 (bank & pot)
Paypal: £134.12
I'm off out soon to help set up a jumble 'trail' stall for the weekend. It's a community event and you can set up a stall at home and add your address to a list so people know where to head to. TBH I'd find it a faff wandering from one street to another but it must work or they wouldn't do it. Church is taking part so I'm going to help sort some things out.
The lady in charge has specifically asked for no donations of shoes or clothes which I'm relieved about. I'm not over keen on rummaging through bags of clothes to sort the good from the bad. If I donate anything to charity I wash and iron it first which makes hubby laugh, but I couldn't for shame hand anything over that wasn't laundered. From what I've seen though, it's not a common thing to do! It'll be nice having a chat with people while I'm there more than anything.
Hope you all have a good day. x

Day 23/31, Prolific £4.38 cleared, 68p outstanding, Shoppix 1825/3200, Spends £35
That pesky thing called life has kept me busy the past few days but yesterday was the start of a new week for me so thought I'd best make the effort to come on here today to keep myself on track.
Nothing to update in the way of money. Pots are the same, but even though there's money in them since coming back on here I'm going to have to start making a note of what I'm spending my money on again because that's 2 weeks where there's been nothing left over and I don't know why.
Church had their jumble sale which went well considering the fact it was pouring down. I said I'd drop some of the decent left overs at my local charity shop so that's my first job of the day. I don't mind admitting I was very choosy about what I would take. Has anybody ever worked in a charity shop? Honestly, if our donations were anything to go by I take my hat off to you if you have to go through endless bags of tat. All our things were given by people who attend church and I was shocked at what they brought in. We had dirty toys, games with pieces missing, ornaments that were broken and we even had a potty with pee stains down the frontI'm not being ageist but these were all donated by the older generation who I'm thinking saw it as a way of not having to go to the tip! On a positive note, looking at the amount of stuff one of the men now has to take to the tip, I'm hoping next year they won't have any rubbish left to bring
OK best shake a leg and start my day. I've got a load of washing to peg out, then after the charity drop off I need to go and do the first part of the shop. Then it's back home to do a few basics in the house.
Hope you all have a good day. x

It's not like dropping a load of rubbish off in a shop and then never setting foot in the place again.

When is DS back at school ?How is DD enjoying her job?Have you tried the quilling yet ?I am off on a craft break in a couple of weeks , looking forward to it .Gosh all those questions I have asked , I sound like an investigator 🤣Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
I don't mind questions @Sunshine_girl2 . Nothing much to hide here
DS is back in school Friday 10th September. His school actually re-opens on the 6th but they're doing staggered covid tests year by year and his day to be tested is Thursday, going in Friday if all is OK. Bit miffed if I'm honest. He's going into Y11 and I'd have thought they'd have been a priority to get back with exams etc. unless of course they know something we don't regarding that.
DD loves the job. She's on the 'making line' so gets to top the pizzas. She says the people are all really nice but they're all younger than her so she feels old at 21! She's had quite a few shifts so far but has told them she won't be able to do that many when she starts her teacher training so the Manager has said he'll just put her down for a couple every week.
I've had a go at quilling and it's a nice craft. I've decided to make some cards so I can write a note to pop in the shoeboxes. Other than that I'm not really sure what else to do.
Enjoy your craft break. It'll be nice to be with like minded peoplex

Day 26/31, Prolific £4.38 cleared, 68p outstanding, Shoppix 2035/3200, Spends £30
Pots have become messy lately. A couple of weeks ago I listed them on here then the next time I listed them the figures were completely different but I've no idea why because the money in the pots was enough to cover the original figures, if that makes sense. Anyway, I've tipped them all out and started over.
Savings £65
Dog Grooming £20
Hair £12.50
Foot Lady £2
Christmas £351.51/£10 - bank and pot
Birthdays £55.48/£10 - bank and pot
Charity £12.80
PayPal £134.12
Slight change with DS savings. I've saved £10 a month for him and DD since they were born which by the time they're 18 is a nice sum of £2,160 which is to help them at Uni. Anyway, this £10 is now coming out of the joint account so I don't need to list it anymore. I did used to think when they were little what it would be worth by the time they got it, but to be honest, I'd be very happy if somebody gave me £2k today
Hope you all have a good day. x
