How lovely for your dd to be a Miss…I remember at first school calling a teacher mum by mistake…I nearly died of shame even though no one heard me 🤣

If only her pupils could see her at home @beanielou :D She'd give them a run for their money with her attitude at times and don't even get me started on the state of her bedroom!

I did read about your spends @WinterWarrior, what can I say apart from I've not done much better myself this week  :D  Haha, yes I bet that's happened a few times at school. DD went to a very small primary and one of the pupil's mums was a TA. Very unusually Mum and daughter ended up in the same class one year. I used to help out with reading and she was forever getting told off by her Mum for calling her Mum and not Miss. But how weird would that be for a child.

How great for DD.  We had a mum and daughter at my primary school (shock horror she was a single mum which in the 70s was rare and caused quite a stir).  I don't remember the daughter calling her mum but it probably did happen.

She's really enjoying it @LABMUM. This week is supposed to be observation but the way they're all returning to school with covid tests etc classes haven't really started properly so she'll do another week of that and then she'll be involved in actual lessons.

Oh yes, I can imagine a single Mum in the 70's was quite the playground gossip. Hard to believe the prejudices back then isn't it. Mind you, DD told me the other day we were very old fashioned getting married before they were born! I guess everybody has their own views on things :D

    Afternoon :)

    Day 10/30, Prolific £3.54 cleared 85p outstanding, Shoppix 2885/3200, Spends 8th-14th £25.85

DS returned to school today, DD was on a training course and I was at the food pantry, which meant hubby was home alone and on washing duty. Thankfully it's a rare event as he's managed to make what is an everyday job for me sound like he's running some kind of laundry service for a hotel chain!

I've spent £7.90 so far this week on 3 cards, some stationery and a bar of Aero chocolate. A couple of last minute things cropped up last week so nothing extra was added to the pots again. I was much better at bumping them up last time I was on here.

My books arrived so that's my reading covered for a few weeks. And I remembered I have a £50 M&S voucher to spend so will have a look on their website this weekend to see if I can find anything.

    Savings £90
    Dog Grooming £30
    Hair £5
    Foot Lady £7
Christmas £351.51/£10 - bank and pot
Birthdays £65.48/£10 - bank and pot
    Charity £12.80
    PayPal £117.76

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

Thank you @HairyHandofDartmoor. I feel very lucky to have been with her especially as I know that hasn't been the case for so many people these past 18 months :( Money saving is going slowly this time round, not sure why but considering I don't really want anything I'm happy the pots just have something in them again. Hope you're all keeping well. I'll be popping over to catch up with all your news. x
  • I’m so impressed at the laundry service, does he take washing in?
