Morning
Day 12/31, Prolific £2.26 outstanding, Shoppix 1320/3200, Spends £12.80
The quilling kit arrived and I've made a heart and a butterfly. It's a nice craft to do although I'm back to the 'what should I do with it all' question. Maybe I just need to enjoy the moment of twirling strips of paper up rather than always needing a goal in mind.
We had a trip out yesterday and I bought ice-creams. Blimey! It's obvious I don't get out often because I nearly fainted when I saw the prices. The weekly shop generally includes 6 cornettos for £2 and 4 Mr T's caramel cones for £1 so a total of 12 ice creams for £3. Yesterday I handed over £9.20 for 4 various ices that could all be bought from the supermarket!
So with the quilling kit, the vaseline and the ices I've spent a total of £22.20 this week. That leaves me £12.80. Prolific has cleared so I've cashed out another £5.63 into PP. Another bonus of having DD home is she spends a lot more than I do so my Shoppix points are bumping up nicely as well
Hope you all have a good day. x

Morning
Nothing much to report today but it's the last day before my spends start again tomorrow so need to keep myself on track.
I bought the chippy last night which left me with £2.20 but I'm not going to bother allocating it to a pot. I want to buy some crayons for shoeboxes I make up so will use it for that.
I need to look at DS's uniform next week. I don't think he'll need much. They have a winter and summer uniform and with the amount of time they've had off plus his 3 extra 10 day isolation periods, hardly any of it has been worn compared to usual. I remember buying his shirts a bit bigger than he needed them so hopefully they'll still fit and he had a new blazer last year so that should be OK. He'll need new trousers and shoes though. PE kit is also fine as they changed the design so I had to buy new last year
Stationery wise, he's a 'very nearly 16 year old lad' and has survived the past 4 years on a black pen, pencil, ruler, sharpener, eraser and calculator. DD on the other hand, 'needed' all sorts of bits and bobs and stationery shopping used to take longer than uniform shopping
Hope you all have a good day. x

My ds has just finished year 11. His list of stationery requirements were much the same as those of your ds. Occasionally he would come home with a pen that he'd had to borrow from a member of staff too 🙄2

I used to really love making up the shoeboxes for operation Christmas child (the Samaritans one), but there are no collection points within a hundred miles of where I live now, so I do a virtual online one every year instead. I’m glad to send one, but it’s not half so much fun as sourcing the bits and packing it up yourself. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

He's even given up with the pencil case and just sticks everything in his blazer pocket.
