    Crepes sound amazing  :)
They are Beanie, although I must confess I'm not a savoury crepe person myself, I prefer them to be full of sweet sugary goodness :) x

    Evening :)

    Day 29/31 Prolific £1.67 outstanding, Shoppix 730/3200, Spends £2.30

I cashed out £5.20 from Prolific yesterday so need to remember to add that onto PP total. I'm already one third of the way to cashing out again after doing another survey :)

DD got the job at the pizza franchise. Obviously the counting of pepperoni slices wasn't deemed critical  :D It's zero hours contract but she's been told she'll probably pull in about 15 hours a week. Even if she doesn't get those hours it'll be fine. She's back home and her student loan has come through, so whatever she earns will be an added bonus. She may even have to give it up as she gets further into her course and is expected to do more regarding lesson plans etc. But for now, she seems happy to have a job and says she'll just see how it goes.

I've spent the whole day faffing around crafting and really don't seem to have much to show for it but it's been fun, if not a little bit messy.

Apart from that  nothing much else has happened. I've clinging on to my £2.30 for dear life and wondering what pots to split it between when the time comes haha. Hope you've all had a good day. x

Thanks both :)  It'll keep her out of mischief and bring a bit of money in for her. She's very lucky to get a job so local, there's probably not many people within a 10 minute walk of their job these days. We have a good selection of shops near to us but apart from Mr T's and a chemist the rest are independently owned family businesses so not much in the way of jobs going. x

    Morning :)

    Day 31/31, Prolific £1.67 cleared, £1.88 outstanding, Shoppix 730/3200, Spends £2.30

Another good survey yesterday :) These £5's seem to be adding up quite quickly lately. Long may it continue.

I rang about adding DD to my car insurance yesterday and was pleasantly surprised when the quote came back for £178.08. That covers her for 8 months, which is when my insurance will be up for renewal. I expected it to be a lot more than that and so did she, so she happily paid for it. She'd just turned 18 when she passed her test, drove for 3 months before going to Uni but hasn’t driven since, so the deal is hubby takes her out a few times until he’s happy she’s ready to go it alone. I think she feels a bit cut off where we are so it’ll give her the freedom she’s been more used to having.

Nothing on the agenda today so I've put my £2.30 into the savings pot. Tomorrow my new monthly spends will kick in.

Pots at end of July are:
    Savings: £42.30
    Dog Grooming: £15
    Hair: £7.50
    Christmas: £301.51/£6.00 (bank & pot)
    Birthdays: £45.48/7.00 (bank & pot)
    Paypal: £128.48
    Charity: £10.00

Normally I'd have nothing left and be wondering where it had all gone but I've been back on here for under 2 weeks and already things are more under control :) Have a good day. x

Well done to DD for getting a job and close to home as well . The insurance was a good price and she will enjoy being able to have her independence .
Any plans for a short break during the holidays ?

Thanks SG :) Yes, driving will give her more independence. It just helps with things like being able to get to the gym without relying on us to run her there and pick her up.

No plans to get away this year. I think we'll just try for a couple of days out, maybe to the Lakes but we'll see how the mood takes us. It was our silver wedding last year but of course we couldn't do anything so we're planning on going to Amsterdam next year as a belated celebration. Hopefully things might be a little bit more normal then, although maybe I'm being overly positive

I think you're out for your meal tonight? Hope you enjoy yourself. x

    Evening :)

    Day 1/31, Prolific £1.67 cleared, £1.88 outstanding, Shoppix 730/3200, Spends £35

I do like the start of a new month don't you :) Spends have started over and I've split £60 between the savings, dog, hair, church and DS pots which gives me £140 for the month/£35 per week. That's more than enough for the bits I do and there's generally money left over to bump the other pots up at the end of each week.

    August Pots
    Savings: £62.30
    Dog Grooming: £20
    DS Savings: £10
    Hair: £12.50
    Christmas: £301.51/£6.00 (bank & pot)
    Birthdays: £45.48/7.00 (bank & pot)
    Paypal: £128.48
    Charity: £10.00
    Church: £20.00

I managed not to do any top up shop this week so supermarket spending came in at just under £100 which is brilliant considering what it has been. It's surprising what a difference checking the cupboards/fridge/freezer and sticking to my guns about certain things can make. That includes cleaning/toiletry products and feeds 3 adults and 1 hungry teenager with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, 7 days a week so I don't think what I'm spending is too bad.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. x
