Is there an issue with silver spoon royal icing? I can't seem to get it anywhere, is it no longer in production? I've even called a cash and carry they don't have it either.14

Hobbycraft for icing? They definitely stock a wide range.
Space blankets. Useful in a first aid kit too. I'd definitely use layers and duvets at home if heating went off though.
Tesco slots available from 13th nov at 7am for delivery saver pass holders and 20th November at 7am for non passholders. Limited to one slot that week (fine by us as standard for us anyway), so should help space out the slots a bit.February wins: Theatre tickets14 -
My stocks are still pretty good as when I use one up it immediately goes on the shopping list. I write the date on the cans, packets etc and use them in date order. I need to get some of those racks for cans as I find myself just putting the cans in the cupboard willy nilly when I am in a rush. I then take time to resort it back into order!! My pantry is pretty well stocked with flour, pasta, sugar rice, beans etc etc although I have used a fair bit of sugar making jellies and jams. I have made my Christmas pudding and cake, although not iced the cake yet. I try to get as much cooked/prepared and then frozen so I am not just cooking at Christmas.
The news from Denmark about the "new" strain of Covid found in mink and resistant to antibiotics made me very worried. In fact my stomach turned over which is the same response I had when I first heard about Covid in January before it even hit the UK. Apparently it has spread to 200 people that they know of. The UK immediate ban on travellers from Denmark makes you stop and think that the powers that be must be extremely worried. New travel bans usually give people time to make their way back before the quarantine kicks in. It is something I am going to watch very carefully and hope that they have acted in time to stop its spread, fingers crossed again!!!

If tho returning from Denmark travel home by public transport then it will be too late to stop the spread. We made this mistake last time. Will we never learn. They should be quarantined at port of entry in an hotel and it is enforced. New Zealand and Australia took action, but the UK is useless. We mustn't infringe on individual liberty and individual must be allowed holiday abroad. We such an approach the new strain will spread and the vaccine will be useless.

I also read the mink thing the other night (I shouldn't read the news at night) and turned to my husband and said we are never going to get out of this and what is our marker with regards to pulling our son out of school, this will be a last resort but I dont trust the gov to act quick enough. Wasn't the mink thing first detected in spain in the summer though?
No luck with icing in Hobbycraft.13 -

I have been banging on since the kids went back to school that they should be wearing masks in corridors and communal areas. My boys even videoed the scrum for the gate where social distancing was evidently non existent. Now they have finally brought in mask wearing , 8 weeks too late in my opinion. I too am monitoring the situation re regular and new strain covid, and will take my boys out of school if I feel the risk is too great. I took them out at the end of Feb three weeks before the rest of the schools followed suit.

It's royal icing I need, I was planning on making some iced biscuits for Christmas, I found another post on the forum asking the same thing back in Aug its just really weird that there is none around and doesn't seem to have been for a while, I can buy some professional version but its expensive and not an essential.
