Do you have Gatoraide in the UK? It's a sportsdrink and great for replacing lost electrolytes.12

I've never seen gatorade here, but we have isotonic drinks. Alternatively, you can get sports rehydration effervescent tablets. Plonk into water, let it dissolve and you're good to go.
It's a good prep for even just colds tbh. Your body will be using a lot of water for snot and phlegm (bleurgh, I know), and if your nose is blocked and you subsequently breathe through your mouth a lot, you can lose quite a bit of water that way.
On a side note, I have added aspirin to my preps and intend to always carry a couple tablets with me in case I ever come across someone have a suspected heart attack. And did you know that lucozade is no longer the best option for someone with low blood sugar, since the sugar tax came in? I hadn't realised that. They now suggest 3 jelly babies, but I'm not carrying those around all the time lol. No point trying to keep some on the house either as husband inhales jelly babies! 😂February wins: Theatre tickets14 -
Gatoraide is our go to for anyone feeling sick. Great when the trots hit and the cold and flu season. It even is available in powder form but the bottles are easiest.
Now, Jelly Babies? Can't keep them in stock. My sons are both in the military and bring home the glucose sweets from their ration packs for emergencies.

I hope the sick note arrives today, Daz. Can you chase it up? It's good that the exercises are becoming less painful to do, shows that there's healing happening13

A basic solution is 6 teaspoons sugar, and half a teaspoon of salt dissolved in 1 litre of water, That's 5 cups of rehydration fluid.
I recall that some of the medical survivors of ebola in Nigeria commented that flavouring fluid made it easier to drink the quantities they required.
Lots of money to be made by carbonating the solution though. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing17 -
