Saw DIL at the weekend, she is a doctor running a covid ward. I am in no doubt that covid is real and very serious seeing the state she is in.24

euronorris said:Well, social distanced first aid training is different! Lots of giggles as you have to talk to yourself, and do it on yourself, or talk to a dummy, instead of practising with another person! But it gets the info in, that's the main thing. Bought a first aid kit from them, so can be fully prepared with ease, in a nice grab and go bag. Plus, it offers them a bit of support during difficult times.
Elaine, how are the in laws doing? X

The whole worlds in on it taff, all the governments (who can't usually get on over ANYTHING, but suddenly can on lockdowns to control us 🙄), all the medical professionals, the scientists, all the sick people, all those who have died or lost loved ones. All in on it, I tell ya! 🙄February wins: Theatre tickets9

Sorry to hear they are still so poorly, but glad that there is improvement, even if only at snail pace x
There have NOT been more deaths from suicide, than from Covid, this year. Not even close. So please do not spout that as a fact! It patently is not.February wins: Theatre tickets11 -

1. The Government is totally absolutely inept and being run basically by non-elected people (eg Dominic Cummings and/or SAGE) - which tends to be the one I favour.
or
2. Google Agenda 2030 - loads of information and will take quite some time to read. Basic gist - it's been planned for some time and Covid is just an excuse for The Great Reset.
You pays your money and you takes your choice. But it has to be at least one of them. Because it just doesn't make sense on any practical level - more deaths from illness and Lockdown suicides than Covid deaths and loads of deaths being proclaimed as being "from covid" when they are "with Covid"/loads of unemployment/less healthcare (whilst the photos & videos are coming out gradually of the deliberately empty wards in some hospitals).
Either way - the website I give is by well-informed people/lots of experts having articles on it. Why would anyone not want to have a read - and then think for themselves and make their OWN decision? I know it's easier to just "take the Governments word-for-it and if they say Be Scared - then Be Scared", rather than doing one's own research. But it is a lazy way out imo not to do one's own research and make up one's own mind - even if it feels easier to "fit in with the crowd" and let other people do your thinking for you.
I would think they have built special wards and emptied wards in readiness for expected patients instead of the hurried and flawed discharging of patients to care homes in the first wave. Any NHS trust not prepared in this way would be negligent, surely? Do we know for sure that these photos are recent photos, "library" photos are often used in news reports.
Any government who has been warned that there is a strong possibility of 4000 deaths a day by well respected, eminent experts, information which can be credibly backed up by facts would deserve to be tried for murder if they did not act upon these warnings and they subsequently happened.13 -

Charity shop really busy today. We sold loads of books, jigsaws and Christmas cards. I suppose everyone is planning to get them written during lockdown.16

We all know that Covid is a giant marketing strategy by Amazon (I am joking) its up to individuals what they believe but this isn't the platform to debate it and can be quite damaging for peoples mental health, I'm sure quite a few of us are having wobbles on various days, I personally come here for comfort on ways I can protect my family as best I can in my own control.
I was giving some more thoughts on the carry bag that I thought was maybe extreme, I was quick to dismiss it, sooo cpr face shield thing, I looked in amazon but I couldn't see anything, what am I actually looking for?
I went to the post office yesterday evening they said it had been manic worse than December, they said during lockdown they were over run with home shopping returns, maybe best to avoid post offices for a bit. On that note ive signed up to Next for £20 a year free deliveries and returns, often their sales for kids clothes are cheaper than most places, its not something I would normally do but this year I will make an exception.15 -
Examples, there will be others.
Pre-Covid: https://www.sja.org.uk/first-aid-supplies/first-aid-supplies-and-consumables/masks-and-face-shields/St-John-Ambulance-Face-Shield-Keyring/
I have one clipped to my bag that goes everywhere with me. It's small and handy, and you can just about fit a pair of gloves in there too.
Post- covid: https://www.sja.org.uk/first-aid-supplies/first-aid-supplies-and-consumables/masks-and-face-shields/St-John-Ambulance-Res-Cue-Mask-in-Green-Case/ much more bulky and not so easy to keep on your person.
The first aid kit isn't huge, it's quite compact but carries most things you might need. It's this one: https://www.sja.org.uk/first-aid-supplies/first-aid-kits/workplace-first-aid-kits/medium-first-aid-kits/St-John-Ambulance-Medium-Zenith-Workplace-First-Aid-Kit-BS-8599-1-2019/ if you are interested in contents. Includes a cold pack that is snap activated, and tough scissors if you need to remove clothing for any reason (for which there are many examples).February wins: Theatre tickets14
