Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)
Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

I think that's what I've fallen foul of with the Wholemeal Bread Flour vanishing.

I'm well under 70 and in good health but don't drive so can't volunteer to shop for the housebound. We live a mile from the nearest shop.It seems Tesco are limiting items to three per person. The woman in front of me had a bunch of six bananas. The cashier split it in half. I was a bit worried as to whether she'd split my bag of sprouts.

We're sharing an apple nowadays if we have one with our lunch, we've cut down to two meals a day and cut portions too and we're finding we get nibbly around now so perhaps an earlier supper time is going to be a sensible thing to implement. I don't do breakfast anyway so we lunch between 12.15 and 12.30 and today we had vegetable dhal with rice and a homemade coleslaw salad which was nice and comforting and filled us up nicely, supper is going to be whatever needs using up in the fridge and some rhubarb crumble I made a couple of days ago. We're not as active with the shut in but we have managed a walk every afternoon and managed to avoid people completely and it's very nice to have fresh air and exercise even if only for a short time each day.15

Sainsburys shows delivery slots 3 weeks ahead and today is showing none at all.
Maybe they are just re-stocking, we'll see. I am self isolating due to an immune disorder and a lung condition but I still get out plenty walking the dog and talking to neighbours in the village. I keep about 20 feet away. I'm fortunate to have a garden too. This year will only be planting edible things!

Husband has come home spitting bullets, he just saw my dad and stepmum getting in their car with a bottle of wine and driving off to have dinner at a friends house. He thinks we shouldnt let them in if they come knocking at the door. Stepmum is an ex nurse and her son is a doctor currently in on one of the major London hospitals struggling with this. I just said theres nothing to be done, they obviously think they know better!
I went to get some meat and my meds earlier. There was a guy behind me in the till queue on hands-free talking loudly to his mum about his sons tennis lessons, he kept standing too close and talking loudly. All i could think is if he is talking he is spreading germs. I’m perimenopausal at the moment and prone to rages so bit my tongue because i was genuinely worried that i might lose it and knee him in the giblets if we had a row. At the chemist it was heaving and two oldies pushed in the queue in front of me, but i got my pills. I don't think i will leave the house again for a while now. I find it too stressful tbh.
Its hard to know how much to eat isnt it? We have lots of food in but i dont want to keep giving out big dinners to everyone and not be able to replace the food. I have asked DH to check his diesel generator tonight as most of our stuff is frozen and a power cut would be a disaster!12 -

We have many supermarkets with tape marking out the safe distance, here in Spain. All ordinary shops are closed except food shops, pharmacies etc. We can only pay by card, not actual money as apparently it stays on notes longer. It is a Bank Holiday today so the police will have been stopping cars with more than one person.
You can only go out to work, shop or medical reasons. Apparently a new law came in yesterday that only one person should be in a car unless you have a legitimate reason. One person per family should be doing the shopping, some supermarkets are stopping family groups.
Dog walkers can go out but again only alone. Otherwise people shouldn't be out at all.
I have only been out once since Friday as I feel it is my duty to act responsibly. On Monday I saw building sites working as well as the gardeners in the community. I understand there are less now as fines have been imposed. I do feel for those still working, particularly when they are putting themselves at risk every time they come into contact with the general public.
I agree with someone who suggested graphic scenes showing the reality and actual horror of this. Or get a person from a bereaved family to tell of how it has affected them.
We should just do our best, regardless of others. And if family are acting irresponsibly then we have to basically cut them off. That isn't being selfish or standoffish, just sensible.
Be safe, be sensible and try to ride the waves as well as possible

Thank you. Useful information and the table is a really good idea.

Review in maybe a week via the CFO thread:
https://www.ainsley-harriott.com/product/szechuan-hot-sour-cup-soup/That's really useful. When I was doing an inventory of my fridge I realised that I have a jar of this in the fridge with 1 tsp taken out of it for a fancy recipe that I have no chance of recreating at the moment.Bok Choi and exotic mushrooms might be a bit optimistic!I wasn't sure what to do with it but I do have Chilli and pepper but I don't have an idea what dashi is.
