I used the Halifax app to deposit a cheque for the first time at the weekend.
The cheque took two working days to clear.
Very impressed!0 -
And here we are on the cusp of Q3 2019 and not a word from FirstDirect0

OP Ask RBS for a supply of envelopes so you can pay in at a PO counter. The cheque will take a day longer to clear than if you paid it in at a RBS branch.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Can anyone confirm if the TSB banking app allows deposit of checks via a photo/scan?0

Is there an amount limit on cheque imaging with Lloyds Bank?
Possible incoming cheque for £5000 drawn on a Halifax account to be paid into a Lloyds account using the app. Will need it cleared by Saturday so no point if it defaults to slow service over a certain amount.0 -

I think it's £500 per cheque, so it probably won't work for your 5k cheque.0 -

Now into Q4 . I paid some cheques in to a HSBC branch yesterday and the cashier said "IF you do online banking you can pay cheques in "
I already have the app (as well as use the main site version)
so I said " Ah..good if that is now available but I have heard nothing , I will check later"
Of course later , I find there is still no facility for this from FD
The cashier was wrong, he must have assumed I had a HSBC account which may have that facility.
When will FD get this sorted?0
