Is there an amount limit on cheque imaging with Lloyds Bank?

Possible incoming cheque for £5000 drawn on a Halifax account to be paid into a Lloyds account using the app. Will need it cleared by Saturday so no point if it defaults to slow service over a certain amount.

£500 per individual cheque. Daily limit £1000

No help to you, but I paid a small (too small:mad:) HMRC refund cheque in yesterday via Lloyds app. Appears in account balance total today, but not yet in available balance.

That's not right at all.! They should all do ! Size is no issue

Agreed, but post offices do differ and some, particularly post office counters in shops bareley have room to swing a cat (or a cheque!!)! Best way to check which accept cheques and which don't is to use the Post Office Branch finder and then click on the service you need. It could save a wasted journey. https://www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder

Haven't had  a chance to use it yet , but at last, it looks like the First Direct app offers the option to pay in cheques by imaging.
    AT LAST!

I've used Starling Bank's cheque imaging 3 times so far and works great. Always clear before the estimated time.

I see First Direct are now offering this - I must have missed the announcement from them.

Has anyone heard anything from Santander UK with regards to offering this ?

I never saw an announcement from FD either - so was quite excited when I saw it on this forum. I've tried it but can't get it to work though, maybe it's me, maybe it's the app. Would like to know if anyone has it working.

As I mentioned haven't been able to try it yet, Here's what their website says:
    Pay in a cheque
    Use the mobile app
You can now pay in a cheque anytime, any place using your compatible phone.
Cheques that are paid in before 10pm on a working day using the app will be available by 11:59pm the next working day, providing it's not been returned unpaid.
You will still be able to pay in a total of £750 in cheques per day with an individual limit of £500 per cheque.
All you need to do to pay in a cheque on your app is to long press on the account you’d like to pay your cheque into and select ‘Pay in a cheque’. If you don’t have the ‘long press’ feature on your phone, select the account you want the cheque to be paid into.
On an iOS phone, you will then need to tap the three dots on the top right of the screen and then select ‘Pay in a cheque’.
If you have an Android phone, you will need to tap the plus sign which can be found on the bottom right of the screen and then select ‘Pay in a cheque’.”
Once you have done this then enter the amount that is on the cheque, scan the front and back of it and submit this to us. It’s easy as that and you don’t need to post them in anymore or go to a branch or the post office.
If you have any questions about paying in a cheque in the app, see our FAQs for more information.

Cheers, I did get that far...when I scan the back, the app just goes into a loop. I've opened a seperate thread to see if anyone has gotten it to work sucessfully - otherwise it's a phone call this weekend.
