Speaky, the blue milk interests me! What's it about? :)

Kc - my guess is that it's the colour of the lids? - so full fat milk :) Here we have (and call it by the colours, not fat content) red (skimmed) and green (semi skimmed) milk :D

Sooooo tired. Looking forward to Saturday - no alarms! (although do need to be up at a reasonable time if we are going to farmers mkt in next town)

Grateful for: working brakes (someone pulled straight out in front of me on a busy roundabout in damp weather and dusky lights. They did hold up their hand as an apology of sorts.... ) the splint for my wrist, my aunt treating my sis and I to lunch yesterday (yum yum), for crossing some of the 8 million and 4 things off on my to-do list (think we're down to 4 million. 329 things left now! :D)

Shrewbie - did you get the money and become debt free??

Today I am grateful for an almost dry day, for seats on all my trams and trains, for a relaxed time with mum, for deciding to walk along and see what the developer did with my childhood home, for being able to walk loads (22000 so far), for seeing an old friend, for being upgraded to a suite instead of a room, for having the tv remote all to myself.

Oh of course! Thanks for that - I use one teaspoon a day of dried milk in my coffee, and thats that - my allergies mean that milk useage conventions sort of pass me by :o

Good heavens, greent  I know you're *really* good, but take care of that wrist :)

Sounds wonderful :T

Gratitudes:
- plugging away at cutting back the laurel, and its really working. On to the privet, five feet over my property boundary! Got to use the green bin while my neighbour's lent it to me.
- my supermarket delivery, that takes so much less energy than trekking to the shops myself.
- that my house is warm, so that the cold rain of today is just an interesting phenomenon.
- ooh, last one - for the "murder" of crows, as I was down the end of the garden I could just see them flying about the little nature reserve, making a wonderful racket!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
• A small spend day but veggies for dinner so healthy at least!

Today I’m grateful for a hot bath, feeling stronger during my gym session (could barely push the door to get out afterwards though!) work finally getting quieter and remembering to call a lovely colleague who’s off on her hols now for 2 weeks, we had a lovely chat.

Tonight I want an early night, a decent night’s sleep and to write at least 2 more christmas cards to reduce my guilt.
• Evening all :D
Strange old day today - took a group of kids out to university for the morning so I was out of routine and off doing unfamiliar and uncomfortable things. It went fine, but not entirely all according to plan so I was quite relieved to get us all back to school, safe and sound.
Another nsd - managed to blag a couple of pieces of free pizza at school so a free lunch as well.
Today I'm grateful for:
2 more get ups
A lovely message in a card from a Year 7
Free food
A cancelled meeting which meant I left school an hour earlier than usual :T
Mothernerd - please take care of yourself and don't overdo it.

I am being good. I did get to the library and now have 9 new and 6 renewed library books, all due back on 11th January so no fretting about what days they are open/ which days I'm here. Put food in the oven before I went (the meal I tried to cook in the microwave) and have been down since to move the cooked and sliced (plus 2 large bags for stew) turkey into the new freezer with a few 'party' bits.

A NSD for me (I did eat a whole pack of mini eclairs and did not even wait for them to defrost - bad mothernerd). Found my other turquoise sheet (the 15 yo ones) but slid the roll of blackout insulating material along the floor and toppled it over onto the bed.

Just thinking things through but not attempting anything else for now. Pondering how difficult it would be to give them instructions on the remaining tasks (want a selection of tins to go to the food bank and am going to buy a box of baubles mum wants). Not stressed at all. Will do things if I can work out how but no-one's going to starve and we could always buy all the extra bits when they get put on the reduced shelf.

What will be, will be, ankle problem is nature's way of telling me to relax and enjoy myself. I could pull out a box of decorations and attach them to the two branches I picked up after the storm and then just lash them onto the bed with washing line and maybe strew fairy lights over the stuff that doesn't look tidy.

Grateful for feeling peaceful.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Debt-free date / Mortgage-free date / Savings target date. What’s yours? Currently August 2021 but hope to bring this forward quite a bit. Nothing paid recently.

Organise your outgoings. Budget for the month. For e v e r y t h i n g. Write it down. And stick to it. Plan your meals – avoid waste. YNAB updated with budget for the month. Meal plan completed for this week. Stuck to meal plan again :).

Count up to 15. Fifteen No Spend Days. Currently on 11/15. Nothing spent today.

Refrain from browsing your phone when nothing else is going on for the duration of the challenge. Be present in the moment. Be okay with “boredom.” Shall do my best. No aimless browsing.

What kind of month do you want for yourself? Take a moment and really ask. What activities do I want to enjoy? What seasonal foods do I want to take advantage of? What do I want to have the energy to take on? Where can I build more leisure into my week? How can I be outside as much as possible? I'd like to enjoy December and not feel exhausted by the time we get to the end of the year. Catch up with friends and family, spend time with OH. Can feel myself slipping back into the usual trying to do too much so trying to rein it in before I end up knackered.

Here’s a space to make up your own rule for the month. Please share it! Home - make the most of the time I spend at home instead of just slumping on the sofa.. Caught up on the ironing. Prepped lunch and tea for tomorrow.

Omm. Take care of your mental health. Do something every day this month that makes you feel good: gym, reading, time with family, favourite tv programme, meditation, building a snowman. NOT spending, of course!! Write down 4 gratitudes each day. Reducing the ironing mountain, achieving a heap of stuff at work, a chat with my brother and watching a film with OH :)

No entry to any sales. Unless you have a planned budget and have been saving for a specific item PLEASE do not go to the Boxing Day Sales. Or any sales. Anywhere. It’s temptation you can’t handle to buy tat you really don’t need. STAY AT HOME! Likewise, no takeaways, canteen meals (unless free), coffee shop or corner shop visits. Ok.

Candles - Switch to candles and firelight after dark (or the high-tech adjustable hue bulb equivalents). Love this rule and have a huge supply of candles to use up.

Chase down more awe and joy. Go after it with a purpose. Go and enjoy the sparkly lights. Take a tour of your neighbourhood to look at other people’s outdoor decorations – and be smug about how you are not wasting your money like that. Go and seek Santa’s sleigh in the sky on Christmas Eve. Will do.

Exercise. Get 10,000 steps a day (or set your own target). Move a little more. Embrace the outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Aiming for 16 days exercise this month, currently on 6/16 :D.

“Don’t give up. Not ever. Not for one single day. Be safe if you can be. But always be amazing.” Pop on here every day and tell us what you’re up to. Not just the good stuff, but also the bad and the ugly too. Will do my best. I'm here :D

Identify activities and people who drain you. Give yourself permission to take a break from them for 21 days (or as many days as possible) if you can. Just maybe this is a gift you should’ve given yourself a long time ago…? Unfortunately I can't quit my job just to get a break from people who drain me :rotfl: but will continue to avoid as much as possible. Chief drainer is still on holiday :T.

Visit your local area. Find new footpaths, see where a road or path takes you. Explore new horizons. Boldly go where no one has gone before. Oops, mixing my sci-fi….! Will do.

Exterminate (see, we can learn from the DALEKS…) one bad habit from your life for the first 10 days. This is NOT about food. I shall be renouncing a particular game I play on my tablet that just sucks me in and takes hours of my time. And I have recently moved up a level, so it’s even harder to put down…! I shall not play a particular game on my tablet, not played for 19 days.

Remember that you are blessed. Count your blessings daily. Be grateful for what you have. And remember those that have less – donate money, food, non-perishables, blankets to a charity that you want to support. Relish life, one day at a time. Had a conversation with my dad over the weekend about various charities and have one in mind that I want to look into donating to. Set up the direct debit to start next month.

Have started work on my list of 100 things to achieve in 1000 days.
Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98
• Still only on 9 NSDs, but the Xmas shopping is DONE. Most of the food shopping also done, may need to get a few bits at the weekend if the boys want to bake. Ventured into town and found the last bits for the boys (new clothes) reduced so came in under budget :money:

2 more office days then a few hours WFH and I am finished :j

Today I am grateful for: a warm and weatherproof house, for a catch up with a friend, and for starting the present wrapping before Xmas eve :rotfl:
