No, the cameras are only on the prepaid lanes. So if you ever drove through a toll without paying then you would have been busted. If you paid every time then there is no way you'd have been flashed.
On the way back from Kennedy there is a huge one which if you are not in the right lane it is easy to mistakenly miss, but you would have known.
In my opinion i would just pay it.
The only thing I can think of is that as the traffic was busy and it was a long day, we did somehow manage to miss one, but it seems very unlikely.
Like you say, just paying the £17 fine may be easier.0 -

If you want to go to BG/Sw before you go to DC, you take your DC voucher to customer services at BG/SW and they will give you day tickets. When you go to DC they give you plastic cards on a lanyard, if you go to BG/SW after DC you will just need to show the plastic card at BG/SW entrance.
sorry - must have missed it in. thanks for the response0 -

We are in the early stages of planning a florida holiday for Easter 2010, and am staring to look at flight prices deals etc. We will consist of 3 adults, 17, 15, 15,& 12 yrs. When would be the most likely time to get a good price?
We are also looking to rent a villa for the freedom and space, but any advice to make me re-think? Also which area??? this feels like a mine field and I have not yet got as far as park tickets!!!!!!
cheers

I would definitely rent a villa - for both convenience and, for the number of you that there are ,cost as well.
We booked one through a friend of a friend. It's in Kissimmee (Creekside) and they charge £350 per week regardless of the time of year. Sleeps 8-10 (4 bedrooms). Will let you know how we get on as go end if August. PM me if you are interested in more details.0 -
Blink_Eden, if you just missed ONE toll with the Orlando Expressway Authority (who cover the Beachline Expressway, 528; Central Florida Greeneway, 417; Western Expressway, 429; East-West Expressway, 408; and the new Apopka Expressway, 414), there is no way they should be chasing you for a toll violation. Their site says very clearly that it is only 3 or more violations which incur penalties (as they know a LOT of tourists can easily go through an E-Pass auto-pay lane by mistake):
I violated a toll lane, what should I do?
If this is your first violation, you should do nothing. The Expressway Authority understands that customers may on occasion enter a toll plaza without proper funds. The Authority only prosecutes habitual toll violators. There is no way to delete a violation from your record once it has occurred.
I went through an E-PASS lane by accident, what should I do?
If this is your first accidental violation, you should do nothing. The Expressway Authority understands that customers may on occasion confuse the lanes and not have proper funds or equipment for them. The Authority only prosecutes customers who accumulate more than three violations.

Blink_Eden wrote: »Need some advice guys - as you know we visited earlier in the year (April), and today we have received a bill for $26 saying that we didn't pay one of the tolls.
Not got the full details yet as it has gone to my brother (we had 2 vehicles).
Who is the bill from? If it's from the car hire company (likely) then you've probably already paid as I think when signing the rental agreement form you give them permission to debit your card with any such charges...
Would you let us know what it is when you do find out the full details?0 -

Simon is of course as usual spot on, but I think what has happened here Blink is that this is a hire car company chasing you? If so then the same hire car has probabluy sued up its 3 strikes already with previous people adn therefore the rental company is being chased. They will add a admin fee onto the charge as well which is where the money probably gets to 26 bucks.
Some of the rental companies now allow you to pay for unlimited tolls (not much use to you now I know) but check your rental agreemetn to see if you oaid for this anyway.

Hi there
OK, here is what you can do to book your Disney ADRs online. Go to the Disney website at https://www.disneyworld.co.uk then on the left hand sude near the top there is a white text link that says "VISITI US SITE" click on that. once at the US site you will see the large text menu at the top. Select BOOK then select DINING RESERVATIONS. The direct link is http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/
Once you are here you can select your resturant, location or type and then date etc and time. If your chosen place is full then it will show you an alternative.
If you also listen to episode 18 of the Disney Brit Podacst we do one of these bookings live on the show
Cheers

Hi
I'm getting married in May next year and we are going to Orlando for our honeymoon.
It seems to be cheaper to hire a villa than a hotel.
BA were doing the cheapest flights but seem to have gone up since i last looked! Just over £400 isn't too bad still.
There is just the 2 of us but we would like a good size pool near as possible to restaurants and the parks etc.
Thanks

hi Fiona
Congratulations!
What do you want from your honeymoon in Orlando (and I shall refrain from saying the obvious)
A villa can be lovely and having a private pool is awesome but you may find you get a lot more attention and upgrades etc by staying in a hotel.
BA also fly into Tampa which is only 30 misn further away but you will find the flights a lot lot cheaper. Also try Thomas Cook and Virgin.
