As in MCO is 45 mins from Orlando, whereas Tampa is an extra 30 mins?

    Hello!

I'm going to book a holiday to Florida leaving at the end of August. I think we would like to stay at a Disney hotel and are thinking of going with First Choice or Thomson as they seem to be working out cheaper at the moment for what we want.

Now, the question...I've been watching the holiday like a hawk for the past two weeks and it's dropped in price by £63 each over that time (x 4 people). I am thinking of going for the free Disney Dining plan so need to book before 15th July. However, are the prices updated at any regular intervals (e.g. on a Monday morning), or is it adhoc? One of the hotels I was watching disappeared from one website and went up on the other, so am assuming low availability on that one, but the one we want is still going down...question is how long to wait....or shall I just get on and book it! I don't want to book on Sunday to find it goes down by another £50 on Monday morning for example.

    I'm glad I waited the last two weeks - I saved £250!

    Approx yes

MCO to Disney area/ 192/27 is around 45 mins. TPA to the same is about 1hr 15mins. So an extra 30 mins BUT as the BA Tampa flight is the only international flight to arrive at that time to tampa you are our through immigragion quicker so it could work out plane to pool time of about the same.

This year it is very difficult to get a late deal (and I've heard of none at all) because of the reduced number of flights. Although, the pound is slowly getting stronger so it may be worth possibly booking flights now and hotels/villas later when the pound is stronger. Of course there is no guarantee of this. There are people already booking for August 2010 or later, so you're not really early yet. Have you taken a look at prices yet?

If you are happy with the price book it (and then stop looking! :D)

If you are willing to risk not being able to get what you want or the prices possibly going up again - wait.

Will you be more gutted if you book now and the price drops again (if you don't keep checking after you've booked you can live in blissful ignorance :D) or if you wait and the price goes up or the hotel you want gets booked up?

Thanks! The price of the holiday actually went up a little today, so that's it - I'm booking! Someone I know is coincidentally is booking the same holiday but at the beginning of October and is paying the same price for 2 adults as I am for 2 adults and 2 children (1 room still but 4 plane tickets!), So I still feel like I'm getting a good deal. Will have to not look ever again!
