    We have booked DC for the next to last day of our holidays and the price we paid includes admission to SW and BG for 14 days before or after our DC visit.

    Have booked this through Virgin so I assume we will be getting vouchers rather than tickets (could be wrong). Question is do we have to go to DC to get the tickets for BG/SW?

    Hope this makes sense:confused:

    Sorry had to bump this as can't find a response. Can anyone help with this one please?
  • Hey Guys i am an America addict, and have OCD so i love to plan and Florida is my next big trip!

    I have booked my flights to Florida leaving on the 10th October and returning on the 19th October so only 9 nights Flights cost £308 and i am flying with NWA who i have previously flown to Las Vegas with i am now looking at tickets and such;

    I would like to try and fit in
    Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios
    Seaworld
    Wet and Wild
    Universal Studios, Universal Island of Adventure

    As well as some shopping and going to the Cirque du Solei show I have been to Florida before so know it isn't going to be an easy task but i do like to make plans and stick to them, plus it is just me and my partner so no real kids (however you could count us both as kids!)

    Anyway i think these are the best prices i can find at the moment and was wondering how people thought they sounded;

    using Park-tickets.com (anyone got any knowledge of them?)

    Disney 3 Day Base with Hopping, 14 Day Expiry with Free upgrade to 5 Days - £166

    Universal Orlando 7 day 3 park pass (Both Universal Parks and Wet and Wild) 7 Days unlimted Access - £76.36

    Cirque du Solei - £49.70

    using Seaworlds own site

    1 Day Seaworld Ticket - £38

    using themeparkticketsdirect.com (anyone got any knowledge of them?)

    Pirates Dinner Show - £25

    Bringing the total of my tickets to £355ish

    So total cost fo far is £664 now with the hotel i really want to bring it in under £800 and i have seen some really cheap deals on travel republic but again i don't know a great deal about them happy to stay in a budget hotel and i think i have narrowed it down now to 1 (which i know wont be amazing but i don't plan on being there much)

    Rodeway Inn - £95.97 per person for the whole stay!

    However that is through Travel Republic and again i don't know much about them can they be trusted?

    So anyway that should leave me some change to sort out travel insurance and transfers from the airport and i should get everything booked for about £800 leaving me just my spending money to worry about!

    So yep i think in my head everything is clear i just want to know if the sites i plan on using are reputable ?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Need some advice guys - as you know we visited earlier in the year (April), and today we have received a bill for $26 saying that we didn't pay one of the tolls.

    Not got the full details yet as it has gone to my brother (we had 2 vehicles).

    Not sure if it was his or mine yet, but all I know is that it is a $26 fine for not paying a toll at 7:30pm on 5 April 2009. I am pretty sure that I always paid my tolls (we went to Kennedy on that day and I remember the conversation in the car and stockpiling coins by the handbrake).

    The thing is that we will now have no way of proving that we did pay any tolls as we would have left all our receipts behind.

    Any tips on what to do? :mad:

    I think someone did reply to you but if you go to say SW first take your confirmation for DC with you to Customer Services and you will get a ticket that you can use for SW. I assume its the same with BG but I don't actually know as I had the 7 days free with SW when I booked DC a number of years ago.

    Its $26. If you are "pretty sure" you paid it, then you aren't certain you did.

    The tolls in Florida are iffy to say the least, normally i don't bother paying any (except Turnpike). Ive probably driven through 50 times and been fined once.

    So in true MSE style you can save money by just driving through.

    I answered this! (p253 post 5052)

    If you want to go to BG/Sw before you go to DC, you take your DC voucher to customer services at BG/SW and they will give you day tickets. When you go to DC they give you plastic cards on a lanyard, if you go to BG/SW after DC you will just need to show the plastic card at BG/SW entrance.

    It is a bit difficult to be certain as I don't know where this toll was supposed to be paid yet - and even when I do know, it will be on a road I have only driven 4 times in 10 years, so can't but certain of anything about it, but we definitely stopped whenever we saw a toll booth (and they are pretty difficult to miss), and on the day in question I can remember stopping a few times on the trip to Kennedy to pay it, so when I say "pretty sure" I mean we never deliberately missed one - in fact I even remember that on the way back from Kennedy the traffic was quite bad, I had my only instance of someone tailgating me and he wasn't getting any further ahead of us in the traffic until we had to stop at a tollbooth (he picked a better lane than us).

    If I had to guess (and it would be a guess), the tollbooths were pretty busy at that time of night, are there any chances that the operative didn't press the button to say we had paid? So we got "flashed" when we drove through.

    Tempted to just pay the $26 but I am sure we paid at every booth.

    Hi All,
    We are in the early stages of planning a florida holiday for Easter 2010, and am staring to look at flight prices deals etc. We will consist of 3 adults, 17, 15, 15,& 12 yrs. When would be the most likely time to get a good price?
    We are also looking to rent a villa for the freedom and space, but any advice to make me re-think? Also which area??? this feels like a mine field and I have not yet got as far as park tickets!!!!!!

    cheers

    No, the cameras are only on the prepaid lanes. So if you ever drove through a toll without paying then you would have been busted. If you paid every time then there is no way you'd have been flashed.

    On the way back from Kennedy there is a huge one which if you are not in the right lane it is easy to mistakenly miss, but you would have known.

    In my opinion i would just pay it.
