Hi everyone,
We're going to Florida in March 2010 and whilst we are there my little boy will have his 8th birthday. I was just wondering whether anyone had any recommendations for something special I could do for him there to mark the day? I know you can do character dining but I'm not sure best way to organise this. Also, wondered whether there were any alternatives as our little un is only 2 and I'm not sure whether she'll be freaked out or not by giant mice and that may spoil it for him if she cries? Any ideas much appreciated. I know he's going to have a wonderful day anyway just being there but if we can make it even more magical that would be nice.
TIA x
Get a birthday badge from which ever park you go to that day from CS desk at the entrance to the parks and all the Cast Members, photographers and indeed characters will make a fuss of him. They do specifically look out for those sort of things. My daughter wore a t-shirt one day which said something like "I need a hug" and she got hugs all day which was a bit disconcerting to start with until we realised why
For character dining that may appeal to both age groups Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom might suit as it features Pooh Bear and friends who will be familiar to the 2 year old. You can check out all menus and restaurants here...

Always check how much a longer ticket is. Often the price of a 14 day ticket is only about £15 more per adult than a 7 day one.Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com

Some excellent advice so far. It's good to see it all in one place. Many thanks to those who contributed. I'm sure that others while find it worthwhile too.0

Well, as I said this relates purely to attraction tickets. If you don't want to add to this thread then don't but please don't clogg it up with these comments. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean that it isn't worthwhile0 -

...and if you had bothered to check even just the last page of the sticky thread there were at least two current posts containing exactly the sort of information you were asking for!

And you will see that I thanked those who contributed. I also see that my thread had been merged with the main one. Oh well, I did try. Thanks to those again who did contribute. Obviously some people seem to get a little power mad when their post count increases. I always find it frightening when if an individual feels that their way is the only way!
The whole point of the thread I wanted to start was that it just contained concise details or tips on their own (relating purely to attractions) as this one is now full of unrelated comments such as the one I am writing just now. That said I will not clog this thread up any further nor will I dignify any other unhelpful posts from some people with any further response.
