I really would reccomend going to disney. Disneyland paris is great, but there is so much more to do in florida that isn't in Paris. Even if you were to get a 3 day ticket to hop between the 4 main parks and do the bits that aren't in Paris. Albeit, I'm a massive disney/themepark fan, I could never go to florida and not do disney.
Main bits that are highly reccomended and not in Paris include:-
EPCOT
almost the whole park is unique except for honey i shrunk the audience.
Animal Kingdom
EVERYTHING!!
Magic Kingdom
mickeys philharmagic - excellent 4d cinema show at magic kingdom
Stitch encounter
Monster inc laugh floor
Hollywood Studios
Toy story Mainia
Fantasmic - ultimate nighttime show and unmissable
I love animal kingdom but all in all, I'm not overly fussed with the others. Obviously, when I go back (and we go regularly) we will take out daughter to magic kingdom but I'm not overly bothered about epcot and hollywood studios. Once you've done them you've done them but obviously are musts if its your first time in Florida.
I really like Busch Gardens and Seaworld to be honest, especially now that Manta is at seaworld though I'm not overly happy with the disappearance of the beer courses, damn InBev.:mad::mad:0 -
Was thinking of booking the pirate league for our DS but was wondering is there any way you can book it at Disney without phoning, we only have a 6 day MYW ticket and will only be visiting MK twice, but haven't decided when yet and don't really want to be tied to a certain day

Hi,
My friend is going to Disneyworld Florida for 21 days and wants a 14 day pass/ticket. 2 adults and 1 child is going. is there any sites out there to search for the cheapest way to purchase??
any help would be great
thanx
Not sure of the cheapest site, but whenever we go to Orlando, as we love Disney, we always get a ticket for the entire duration of our stay, very little extra cost. For example, at
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdwi/en_GB/tickets/ticketsUKTickets?id=UKTicketsPage
Either a 5 day or 7 day premium ticket is £219 per adult.
Yet a 14 day ultimate ticket is only £16 more at £235
and a 21 day ticket is only £24 more than the 14 day one at £259.
Getting 21 day tickets for 2 adults and 1 child will cost you a total of £74 more. True, £74 is £74 but when you factor in the total cost of the holiday, an extra £74 for the ability to use all Disney parks and water parks as you please throughout your 3 weeks is worth it in my opinion.
Total cost for 2 adults and 1 child for 14 days pass = £676
Total cost for 2 adults and 1 child for 21 days pass = £750Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com

Hi All,
I apologise in advance for the same old kind of question, but here I go. A group of us want to go to Florida next May for two weeks. We will fly out of any London Airport (heathrow and luton preferable) and are quite flexible with our dates. Is this a good time to go?
There will be 4 main adults (parents) one 14 year old (I suppose he will be an adult) and two 6 year olds - so 7 in total. I have seen villas for approx £300 per week that will house all of us. Is this the cheapest way to go?
I would say our budget for flights would be as cheap as poss and considering I have never done this before, I would appreciate if anyone can point out what kind of prices I should be expecting to pay (low and high). Can I realistically expect free children's flights? Adult prices approx £300?
I will obviously move onto Q's about car hire/insurance/disney tickets etc.. but for the moment I just want to think about getting us there!0 -
Hiya,
Just beginning to plan my next Florida trip (yay!) for next year and been quoted a really great price for a villa in Glenbrook. Just a quick question regarding the area - I've always stayed at the other side of kissimee and was wondering if anyone has stayed in Glenbrook and/or this villa (although that might be pushing it!) Villa is called Villa Fantasia, and the website for it is www. villafantasiaorlando. co.uk.
Any information would be great, and thanks for all the tips I've already got from here, you're all great!

That is a very nice villa. How much is the cost per week? I did see the price list, but it was for 2007. Is the cost still £300 - £350 per week?0

Hi,
We have stayed at Glenbook at the end of September 2008 and we are going back to Orlando next week, having said that we are not going back to Glenbrook.
Glenbrook was ok but I did not feel very safe there having said that there was nothing to make me feel like this. Everytime we went to the community pool and house there was no one there. We never seen anyone else out and about in this estate and when we were there our pool was overlooked by the workmen building the retail park at the back of our villa. Nearly every villa in our street was up for sale. If you need any further information and if I can help you please ask0 -
I don't want to clog the thread, but...
If you don't have time (or can't be bothered) to read through the entire thread, there is a search facility.
Up there, top right, underneath the green header bit.
Enter your search text and check the "Forums" blob and hit search.
I've found the contributors are always happy to help, but personally I would prefer to at least try to help myself before asking for help. Actually, it's just brought to mind a part of a Lee Evans comedy routine. Anybody know the one: "Burger..." "Chew it for me..." :rotfl:
BEFORE you hit the reply button in rage or indignation, I'm not having a go at anyone, just trying to be helpful!:D:A

No need to apologise for asking questions and I've been twice in May/June and its a nice time to go, quite quiet yet still pretty hot. You can get a fair amount of school parties in the parks, we had a choir staying at our hotel last time but they were very well organised, well behaved and treated us all to a couple of songs at breakfast the morning they were leaving.0
