i was due to go ou to orlando on monday 18 may, just had a phone call from my TA, jetsave have just phoned to say they cant oofer me the original resort (allstars music) as its full up.*we booked this holiday 10 months ago* all they could offer was the allstars sports, which isnt a place we want to stay (we have visited all the allstars and would nevr go to sports as its shabby and old) we told them we weent happy with that, and want eith Pop, musi c or movies (all equivalent ratings) they said they cant as they are full as well! turns out they have only just got round today to book us in with disney music, and obviously this late stage they are full. they have offered us £40(0.5 percent of our total holiday cost!) each if we go to sports , which we really dont want to do, but with only 5 days before we fly out they have us over a barrell, what should we do? i have had a look in tinernet for others but theres nothing avavilable.

With the timescales you are probably best asking for a full refund (albeit never actually intending to get one) It wouldn't surprise me if the TA buckled and offered something better to compensate you.

Obviously if they say "right we'll cancel it" simply say you have changed your mind and then upon return take up the matter.

    Hi there,

Please can anyone advise where to buy no expiry disney tix please?

    Thanks

    SFG x
you can take your tickets to guest services and buy no expiration option if you need it. The unofficial guide (highly recommended) says that most people don't end up using the unexpired tickets so think before you spend the money.
We are currently in Florida looking at using the no expiry option as 1 of my 4 children has measles and we are in quarantine waiting to see if the other 3 will get ill... looks like our 2 week holiday will last about a month. we hope to take them to the parks 1 at a time as they become non infectious.

please make sure you have good travel insurance, we are with tesco and so far they have been good though we have had to pay some things upfront and they should reimburse.
This was a longed bfor holiday and I never imagined I would find myself and my son in an ER and then admitted to an ICU 30 miles from the rest of the family at a cost of $1000's. I must have filled out about 10 forms for insurance, its such a different system here.
I hope no one has to use it but make sure you have it anyway.

Do feel for you SQUOOG. It always sounds nice that you have to stay longer, but we know its quite the opposite! I hope you do benefit from it and still manage to enjoy some of your holiday however long it takes.

Hi everyone, well we have done it, booked our first trip to Florida for June next year, we are going with Virgin and staying in Kissimmee and going for 2 weeks.

What we need to do now is plan which park tickets we will need but there is so much choice and too little time it seems!

We have 2 kids who will be 11 and 7 when we go, we'd like to somehow combine Disney, Universal, discovery cove, kennedy space centre, do any of these include the water parks?

Can anyone advise if these are too much for the time we have available? which would be the best options bearing in mind the ages of our children? I have had a look at the parks but its all mindboggling!

Sorry to hear that and I hope you manage to enjoy some of your holiday especially your young son.

and yes the non-expiry element is costly to buy but worth it if you know you will be back.

we asked jetsave if they could get a room off of virgin as virgin still have a few rooms available at all star music, but it seems virgin wouldnt give one up (and why would they). jetsave are now trying to get us a room at pop century, though they dont have a contract with pop rooms, we will know at 2 o clock what the out come is. we have checked the price ourselves comparing sports and music and the sports resort is $200 less per person, so offering £40 back is really not on.
  • Does anyone know when the best time to book for next year would be not sure whether to wait or book know. would like to go April/may time?

i am in the same boat. 2010 prices seem reasonable but looking at the prices for last minute now it's seem i could get £500 cheaper for budget accomodation. I have tried pricing up seperately but i'm not sure all the flights are available yet or if i'm brave enough to do it that way.

    HELP!

Anyone bought a Disney 14 day Ultimate ticket on the plane with Thomas Cook Airlines recently?? I have bought one off ebay (I know, I know...). I have found out they definately are sold on flights (took many phone calls), but my ticket has no grey signature strip and I want to check if it is real. Surprisingly after phoning several Thomas Cook agencies/customer services/airline, no-one even knew they sold them and can't help at all.

It may well be real but until you try using it you will have no idea if it is still valid. They are only valid for 14 days from the first day of using so if this has been used even once then it will now be out of date.

i have a 14 day ultmiate ticket i bought from walt disney direct, what do you want to know?. did you buy a ticket from ebay which was bought on a plane?
as said if its been at all through a disney turnstyle the clock is ticking and has to be used in 14 days. you might be able to phone disney up and see if they could check. just say you have a tickets and want to check the days left on it.
