As regards the unofficial guide - use the crowd calendar on the website, it was pretty good for us, we went to MK on a "5" day and barely queued for anything and did Hollywood Studios on a "9" day and most of the FP were sold out when we got there at 11, and never got to do Toy Story.

(If the family had stuck to my plan, we would have avoided the 9 days, but some people just never listen ;)

    What is a 9 day?
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Len and Fred from his team use detailed research to work out what is a good day or not. A 10 is a BAD day to go to the mentioned park and 5 is a good day, 1 is the best etc. I use the crowd calender and the Disney calender on https://www.disneyworld.com and https://www.touringplans.com to work out when to go where. For example unless you are staying in a Disney resort avoid going to a park that has Extra Magic Hours etc.

We have skipped all the parks this weeks, its not worh it. Will be fine next week.

    Cheers

OK folks, we're looking for the best place to buy Disneyworld tickets, (not e-vouchers), that will send them out as soon as we purchase them.

DH doesn't like paying for things then having to wait months to get them. I have to agree- I have been on tenterhooks in the past waiting for tickets to arrive for big events and they only arrived at the last minute despite being booked months before. Not our cup of tea.....

DH wanted to go direct to Disney, but their prices are pretty steep.

    Any suggestions from anyone?

    TIA

    Anyone?

Am in Florida at the moment and due to hand hire car back the day before we leave. First time and was unsure about picking up and driving at 6am after a long flight, The dollar deal seems a good one, cheapest I can find on netflights is £24. Am I missing something?

Check out Expedia's website there doing car hire for around £16.50 per day for a basic economy car.

Attraction tickets direct are good, usually competitively priced with quick delivery of real tickets I've used them twice no probs. You can even pay a deposit if you order over the phone and then make paymets.

    HI,

I am travelling to disney, staying at the port orleans, in 2 weeks and having never been before don't know the best way to take our money. Should we change it to dollars or take sterling, cash or travellers cheques, pre-paid card or credit card. Is the pre-paid card accepted in Disney??? So many questions??????

Any help on this would be greatly aprreciated.

We have been at all the parks this week with the use of touring guides. Been a real godsend. the parks have been very busy with queues yesterday for soaring at EPCOT of over 2 hours. The touring guides have saved us hours of waiting. We've been on everything we want and a number we could have missed with no stress. The book too has been in use. Also bought the brits guide but found we havn't used it much. Noticed a number of other people with their laminated sheets as well. I wondered at first if I was going over the top with the laminating etc but its proved its weight in gold (which for a laminated sheet isn't that much:rolleyes:. Anyway must get to the pool. Last park is the studios tomorrow. Now if only Universal had a fast pass system you didn't have to pay a fortune for.

I would take mostly travellers cheques and some cash then at the resort and the parks use your key to the world card to buy stuff then pay your bill at end of stay with the TCs or if you want to cash them at the resort, you can do about $300 a day

I stayed at this resort last june and i faxed my room request about 4 days before arrival to ask for Aligator bayou building 14 i think it was,, closest to the food court. very nice

Last year we split our stay between disney and Hard rock hotel at Universal, the Front of line privilege you get by staying at Universal is unbeatable. I couldn't do Universal any other way now.
