New here but we stayed at the comfort inn in 07 ,we loved it for being a basic hotel, its not the most luxurious in the world but its a brilliant location ,breakfast is lfree, rooms were what we needed. We would stay there again if there were less of us (2 ad 3 kids!)-we had the family suite and although we had a brilliant stay by the end of 2 weeks i needed a bit of space !!!
Thanks for that. Ive narrowed my choice down to 3 hotels in Lake Buena Vista...
Basic- Comfort inn £155
Medium level-- Country inn and suites £244.90
A bit more classy-- Fairfield inn £ 252.95
Ahh decisons, decisons!!!
Anybody been to either the Country inn and suites and/or the fairfield inn?0 -

Was a bit disappointed with Old Town this time, it seemed a bit run down , some of it looked a bit dodgy tbh.- like more of Kissimmee I saw
maybe it is just people going to the Fun Spot next door.
And the British shop seemed to have been replaced by a Fish and Chip shop
Still had loads of fun and sun tho0 -

You need to have exact fare as they don't give change. For the fare (was about $1.75 last year) I think its brilliant and would recommend using.
Thanks for this information miniwinnie - How did you manage on the bus with your luggage? was there adequate space for getting it all on or is it a bit of a squeeze?
Edinburghlass - we are flying from Orlando International Airport.0 -

Still haven't made it for one of the car nights!!
Talking about going for 3 weeks if we go again, there just isn't enough time to do everything you want and have some relaxing time too - not done an airboat ride either!0 -

OK folks, we're looking for the best place to buy Disneyworld tickets, (not e-vouchers), that will send them out as soon as we purchase them.
DH doesn't like paying for things then having to wait months to get them. I have to agree- I have been on tenterhooks in the past waiting for tickets to arrive for big events and they only arrived at the last minute despite being booked months before. Not our cup of tea.....
DH wanted to go direct to Disney, but their prices are pretty steep.
Any suggestions from anyone?
TIA

I've stayed twice in the Country Inn and Suites and liked it very much, small friendly hotel with free breakfast and free internet access in the room. The Sheraton Safari hotel is next door and you can use their courtesy bus to Disney parks which run all day and have a late return unlike the the one from Country Inn and Suites which only does a couple of runs. Micro and fridge in the room which is handy and lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
If you pop over to www.disboards.com and look on the UK Planning board there, get in touch with wayneg as he too has stayed there at great bargain prices and loves helping out people to find the best bargain in hotels. He has stayed for many years at the Fairfield but found a good deal for Country Inn and Suites last year and has booked there again. Tell him I sent you and I'll send him a pm to let him know and if you decide on CI&S feel free to pm me for any details.0 -

Going wasn't so much of a problem luggage wise - it was the return journey with the double the luggage that can be tricky. Nowhere allocated to put luggage on the bus but they didn't seem to mind you just stacking in the aisle. There always seems to be people with luggage so didn't look too out of place.
We now rent a car on the last day and do all the Ross & Marshalls stores in Orlando and the wal mart on the way back to the airport. You can collect from Dollar @ Holiday Inn on international drive for £20 and add a full tank of petrol for £7. Arrive at airport car hire return and take escalator to check inn. See Netflights if interested.0
