I had a look at this and the cheapest room at Hard rock was $293 for a night! So it would be cheaper to buy the express passes even though they only give you one go per ride.
That said, if I was doing a night at the city walk I would book a room here and tie it in to doing Universal and Islands, then it would be worth it0 -
We will all have our own opinions of which coasters are great and which are not and we all have differing criteria to measure those opinions. I have been on many coasters throughout my life, from Blackpool to Chessington in the UK, both Disneylands, Six Flags and others in the US, as well as Disney, Universal, Seaworld, Busch Gardens in Orlando.
I don't think I would call any of them !!!!!!, however, some of them are, of course, (in my opinion!) better than others. I wouldn't go on the woody at Busch Gardens again - it was quite a good ride, but very jolty and gave me a headache. I don't do simulator rides as they just make me feel sick (and where's the enjoyment in that?!)
Among my favourites are Kraken (Seaworld), Sheikra (Busch), Hulk (IOA), Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Roller (MGM). I love Journey to Atlantis (Seaworld) too because one minute its a water ride and the next thing you know the water's gone and it's a roller coaster - brilliant! Tanganyika Tidalwave (Busch) is probably almost as much fun off the ride as it is on it - of course I'm referring to the bridge :rotfl:
Just thinking about these rides is getting me excited already :j ROLL ON August!!:j Can't wait to get on Manta0 -

I was very impressed with Busch Gardens compared to any of the Disney parks (although we were all a bit old for "The Magic")
Busch Gardens is vastly under rated, a lot of folk won't travel to Tampa but it is most definately worth the trip.
It's my favourite theme park in Florida.0 -
Personally I found Busch Gardens the most dissapointing park last time we went.0

ladies and gentlemen. No ride is s++t if you have never done any better!
Horses for courses.
Disney is all about the experience see how a 'theme' park should be run in the true sense of the word.
Although I do not think DisneyWorld is as good as it was [maybe because i am older in the tooth now] its still one hell of an experience with the transport system, the hotels, the fireworks the way the staff always smiled, the themeing of the uniforms, The parades and Spectromagic. I think those of us who have been lucky enough to have been several times take that all for granted.I am in Kissimmee at the moment and there is still a sense of thrill as we drive past Disney property and see the cut lawns!
That is what Disney is all about! The Magic. And that 'magic' has brought Seaworld,Universal to Kissimmee for a greater choice of places to go and see.
Sadly my favourite park has long gone. Boardwalk and Baseball!! And sadley it looks as if Cypress Gardens is going the sameway slowly although in the latter years we only went there for the concerts.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

We've just done all the disney and universal parks with a 11,9 and 5 year old. First ride was space mountain (thought we should go before it shuts). Its so different from the Paris one which I didn't comprehend until too late. It meant that the first ride on a coaster for the 5 year old was a dark ride on his own! I couldn't concentrate as all I was thinking about was what he was thinking about. Thank goodness he took to it.
Overall I thought Animal Kingdom was the best park. The new Simpsons ride was great, but both Epcot and Disney studios were very disappointing. Epcot looking and feeling very dated and the attractions overall at the studios were just imho rubbish. In particular disliked the adverts you have to endure at Epcot and found the self advertising from Disney at the studios too much to bear.

Mike, give us a few more details of what you didn't like - always good to get other people's perspectives.
We were lucky, we went on a fairly quiet day. It struck me as like Animal Kingdom with the animals, but the park felt better laid out, with better scenery/foliage, and we spent a lot of time looking at the animals. (My biggest disappointment was that the water section wasn't working on the Rhino Rally). If we go back and I would definitely rather go to Busch Gardens (and then spend a few days in Clearwater), as opposed to going to any of the Disney Parks.
Didn't do Universal this time - not enough time.0
