sturll: dont worry- i havent posted your pic anywhere, i just meant 'post' on here to tell you :-)

Re spending money, im getting a bit worried now reading some of the posts above, i will only have about a grand (pounds) for just myself and a 7yr old SC. I wont be goping out at night or anything (out out but will go to downtown disney or just to get dinner but not in pubs / clubs - unfortunately!! LOL)

Disney tix are already bought - should I be aiming for more ?

Can you tell ive never been!!! LOL

    Hi
I have just got back, I took £800 for me and my two boys. I came back with £250! We were eating out twice a day, paying for buses, bought quite a few things, so please don't worry you will be fine with £1000. You both will have a fantastic time, its the best holiday in the world :D

  • Hi all

I know I'm being a numpty, but I've been looking for cheap flights to Orlando and I've found some for £320 each which I think is a bargain. The thing is, they stop in Philadelphia (even though they are listed as non-stop:confused: ) and it looks like we change terminals.

Well this has got me straight into panic mode! Has anyone done this? Do we have to collect our baggage or is it transferred automatically? Is there any chance we could miss the second plane?

Also I found these flights looking on Kayak & Travelsupermarket. Should I be worried about not booking them through a travel agent after the xl hoo ha?

please can someone put my mind at rest?

    many thanks

  • Anyone know anything about driving experiences at Daytona? It is my brother's 40th a week before we fly, so it might make a nice present

    Hi pumpkin,

we booked ours through expedia, for £348 each with BA and they are non stop. So might be worth it to reduce the stess of a change over

We've never flown direct, and (as far as I remember), you go through passport control where you first land, but your bags goes through automatically. Never had any problems.

(Got laid over once, coming home, and I came back on one flight and my luggage on a different one - but I think that could happen to anyone once you have checked-in)

  • Having read through the thread, I have a couple of questions. We are staying at the Quality Inn Plaza and I have read that some of the rooms are noisy can anyone recommend quite rooms. Also we are going for 14 days is it worth buying the Disney ultimate 14 day ticket as well as the FlexiTicket as we are divided on where we want to go. Three adults in total (2 are kids at heart).
    Any advice gratefully recieved.
    Thanks

    Hi,

I think if you have the money then why not go for it! The flexi ticket is great, but i was in Orlando for a week in August and by the end we had already done all the parks, and our favourite twice (Wet n Wild). So i would definitely buy them both...

However, if you can only get one i would go for the FlexiTicket as that has better parks for adults IMO.
