sturll: dont worry- i havent posted your pic anywhere, i just meant 'post' on here to tell you :-)

Re spending money, im getting a bit worried now reading some of the posts above, i will only have about a grand (pounds) for just myself and a 7yr old SC. I wont be goping out at night or anything (out out but will go to downtown disney or just to get dinner but not in pubs / clubs - unfortunately!! LOL)

Disney tix are already bought - should I be aiming for more ?

Can you tell ive never been!!! LOL

please do not fret over how much you have to spend. You can spend a lot less than a grand GBP and still have a fab time.

For example each Friday and sat night why not go to the kids dance party at DTD its free and it has lots of peeps there Great fun. Mine do it every time and I can not stop them, they love it.

For brekkie you cna eat v cheaply with some cereal or even buy pancakes and syrup from walmart or whereever your local store is.

In tha parks you can take food and snacks etc.

For dinners, there are LOADS of palces that do free kids meals like Lonsestar on Tuedays, Mannys on Thursday (i think etc). You could even get the kids eat free cards for about 20 bucks.

I forgot how long you are going ofr but if 2 weeks and you have your disney tickets booked thats 100 bucks a day and will be OK

Also when a DTD grab some fish and chips from raglan road (cookes of dublin) take away and you can even have a beer

    Cheers

  • hi, sorry for starting a fight! I have that effect in real life too! LOL

Just wanted to say thanks, I have appreciated everybodys opinion - i honestly have, theyve all given me something to think about.

I am staying at the sheraton safari ??? Other than its in BV I have no idea re the location but it does have disney transport.

Re the spends, the £1000 does not include the disney ultimate tix - ive already bought those - am i still a bit short ?

    Thank you

Found the link I was looking for but bear in mind the last time the writer stayed there was 2006 so the prices will probably be different but there is wealth of information regarding the area for restaurants, shops etc.

    Hi trickytrolleys

I've stayed at the Sheraton Safari too and really enjoyed it. I've had a look at the great guide that Ed'lass has put a link up for, although the prices have changed, most of the restaurants locally are still there (except Jungle Jims icon9.gif) and there is a new addition in Fudruckers. One thing I will say is that the bus times to the shops seem very spread out - I love shopping but don't think I could spend 8 hours at the Florida Mall - so it may be worth seeing if you can take a late bus and return in say 3 hours, or alternatively go to Belz (now Prime) and take the I-Trolley down I drive, look in Premium Outlets and return from there on a sort of shuttle open jaw.

Its a nice hotel in a great area. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Boy. This thread is all about people getting information, which for some people is a once in a lifetime experience and all you can be is nasty. You really seem to be quite a horrible person.

In response to the self righteous manner in which you posted - what sort of reply did you expect?

If you look back over many of my responses and maybe 98% or my posts you will see i am exceptionally helpful.

Sadly occasionally there a few times when people try and come across all smart and obnoxious - and self righteous, those times i respond accordingly.

That said, with only a handful of posts to your name you are probably not best qualified to determine the general helpfulness of my posts or indeed my character.

my reply wasn't self righteous, just wanted to know why you had to take her to downtown disney to get a bus to a resort and then to animal kingdom, when you could have taken your mother to animal kingdom direct? nothing self righteous about that.
and it doesnt take any one with more replies than someone else to be more qualified to be helpful (or courteous) to someone, if it did im sure we all look on your opinions as valid.as is I dont.
im not getting in to a tit for tat, and im not saying anymore on the matter.
im sure youll have a nice day.

FYI new tickets for Universal have been releases special for this year.

universal bonus tickets (entrance to universal studios, island of adventure and wetnwild) all for £99
So if you buy a discovery cove packagae which inc aquatica and sea world this works out cheaper then the flex ticket
