This is what we thought, thats why we went in April last year and it was hot enough, it did rain but only for 20-30 mins once a day and for a couple of hours on 1 other day.
Although we were told that in the 2-3 weeks prior it rained nearly all day every day!!!
£3k a very good deal, can you break that down, ie: airline, car hire co etc please, ta

For those of you who where affected be the collapse or know people who where it must have been awful. But this is NOT the same company. Its just the same name. It beggars belief why Virgin thought it was worth the while buying the name when its obviously thought of as mud but there you go.

Hi,
This is not really an MSE post but I know that there are a few experts on here who can help me...:)
Basically I am going away with my family in March to Disney and staying two different hotels- my Mum really wants to stay at The Grand Floridian as it is her Birthday and she wants to stay at the best hotel, however we cant afford to stay for the full duration, so we stay there for 5 nights and then for the remaining 9 staying at another hotel- another Disney one- i think Caribbean but not 100% sure...
Anyway, the problem is with the 14 day ultimate Disney ticket-my Mum is saying that she cant book this as we are not staying at the same hotel for 14 nights...
Anyone had the same problem and/or know a way around this?0 -
Just wonderful..
Who are you booking with? If it's a package ask them to exclude the tickets (which they must have bundled in with your holiday) and buy them separately. Then there will be no problems using your tickets for the full 14 days.0 -

Thas one hellva trip
The FGF is a wonderful hotel, but any of the deluxe ones are with the Poly being my favorite. I woudl not suggest the carribean as the second choice though, I would go for the Port Orleans French quater as the best moderate priced hotel there is. Teh carribean is better than colodord etc but the PO is ace.
As for the ultmiate ticket. You do not have to have this linked to your hotel at this time. You can buy it seperately and then have keys to the kingdom added at checkin.
The alternative is to bbook the first hotel with teh 14 day pasa nd book the second with no pass at all. The pass is still valid for the 14 days but they might not let you room charge at the second one. I am not sure on that though.
HTH
Why not c all Disney directly and ask them, use https://www.1899.com for 1p a min calls to the US and call them on 001 407 WDW INFO (using the numbers for those letters if you get me so its 939 4636 i think but I don thave phone to hand
or try booking the hotel via mousefan travel or drop annette there an email, she will give you the correct answer if I am wrong https://www.mousefantravel.com annette@mei-travel.comSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

From what I can gather, Virgin have brought TCD's customer base and very little else!
Me too.
The irony is that many of the new TCD prices are hair raising! (In a bad way!)
Mind you, I never once found a package deal through them cheaper than I could book myself or even (surprisingly!!) Virgin Holdidays. Though that was a few years back, to be fair.
I always found the TCD prices looked excellent and then they added things on (like pricey car hire that you couldn't decline) which made the overall cost much higher.0
