  • You can read about the Dining Plans here...

    http://allears.net/pl/packages.htm

also links to all the restaurants menus. Remember a lot of the places will need to be booked quite far in advance which means a lot of planning. 18% gratuity will also need to be paid.

I love reading this thread and catching up with everyone's Disney tips and even occassionally add a few!!

i wonder if anyone has any advice for eating in the parks with a fussy vegetarian daughter partner age 10 32?? Sadly she doen't eat pizza cheese anyone else veggie been there recently with any ideas what's available??

    Many thanks

Similar situation. some of the guides say that some places do salads, I think we may be packing fruit for her to eat during the day.

Just seen that veggie plan. Thanks

Hi we go to Orlando on 6th June, we are taking our 4 year and 2 year old, there both going to need car seats and i've seen that the car hire co. charge approx. $4 per day per seat to hire. I really don't want to spend over $100 on car seat hire, is there any way we can buy are own when were there, if so how do we go about hiring them just for one day, cos we'll obviously need them coming out of the airport. Hope this makes sense. Thank You.

    Hi Claire

It makes perfect sense and you are right to make sure this is sorted. There are few things I will suggest.

We have now a 7 and 4 year old but they have been coming to Florida with us since they were both newborns.

Where have you hired you car from and what sory have you gone for? If for example you have a mini van then if a Dodge caravan or grand caravan they actually have two built in car seats in the second row. You pull on a small handle, tape thing under the headrest in the second row of seats and you pull them down and there you go, two five point harness belts.

If you have not got a mini van or van does not have these belts then you can hire them for one day and return them to a local pick up and drop off centre. If you have your car from dollar or alamo or really any of the main car hire companies you can go to ANy of their outlets (and you can see a list of them on their web sites https://www.dollar.com, https://www.alamo.com etc and take the seats back.

Make sure when you hire them for the day you tell them you want them for a day and you will take them back to XYZ tomorrow.

When you return them you may well be asked to prove you have car seats for the kids. So you need to buy some. the best place is walmart. for the older child a boaster will be fine adn they are about 15 dollars. For the two year old it will depend on their wight as you well know so you may need something like below.

You could also if you wanted take some from home. They do not count towards you bag allowance

So what do you do with them when finished?

Well you could sell them. That seems daft but I have known people go to the arrival baggage claim at Orlando and sell their car seats to people arriving. Or you can sell them to a villa owner and maybe if you are in a villa many of the owners provide them for their guests.

    Here are some seats
For kids weight 30 to 50 pounds http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5030625 which is under 20 bucks

Anf for the boaster http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5716971 which is 18 bucks

    Hope this helps

I'm pretty sure that when we went the first time, my brother took their seat with them. Might be worth checking with the airline if they will take car seats in the hold.
