sorry went on the link and it took me to a different site?,clicked off it then reclicked it and hey presto your right, thanks very much helped my out there!

Have you tried clearing your cookies? Then go back into .com and select "USA" not "UK" as your country.

It drives me mad when when I get pointed to .co.uk as I (mostly) prefer .com

  • Hi everyone,

Well i posted a few weeks ago, and still undecided on where to stay but seem to have narrowed it down a bit.

The marriot village is very well priced at the mo, with virgin.

Just one question, anyone know if the courtyard is worth an extra £100 over the fairfield. Or indeed whether the springhill suites are worth £60 more than the courtyard? Two of us are staying for 11 nights.

    It all depends.

The courtyard is amucj niocer hotel,. Better equiped and a resturant etc. The best thing to do is go to https://www.marriott.com and select the Orlando hotels and then you cna see all the amenities that are there.

If you are not in your room much then it may not matter.

The suites sound like a reasonable compromise though.

Years ago Courtyards were never more than twp storys and business hotels. That sure has changed.

    Cheers

  • I am looking to pick up a car half way thru my holiday to do a bit of exploring and someone kindly suggested that I should colect the car from Disney instead of going back to the airport. However, no matter what site I go on the only option I appear to have is to collect the car back at the airport, any suggestions how I can collect the car at the hotel and recommendations for who is the best to hire thru?

    Thanks

    Hi mate

There is no need at all to return to the airport. There are LOADS of car hire locations all around Orlando.

The 192 has a fdew, like a Dollar at the Rodeway Inn.

    Try Yes Car Hire

https://www.yescarhire.com is one of the best ones I use.

They use both Dollar and Alamo

    All the best

ok i bought my disney tickets all ready as i wanted to get them before the prices went up (bought them via virgin which worked out cheapest) however i haven't booked my actual holiday yet. does anyone have any idea if any of the .com holiday sites are reliable? as anyone booked through them and had any problems or should i just stick with virgin (whose prices have just shot up) they all seem to be atol protected but i'd rather not pay and then get it cancelled or them run off with my money or something like that but the places that i'm looking at to stop seem to be a lot cheaper than on virging web sites. help!

    Hi Kezza

really the cheapest way is to do it yourself. No agents.

Use https://www.kayak.co.uk for flight prices. Virgin are good as are BA, both have direct flights into Orlando.

Premier Tracel are a great agent and are protected with ABTA etc, they can get you car hire as cheap as https://www.yescarhire.com

As for the hotels, use the websites for the hotel brand so https://www.marriott.com or https://www.disney.com or even call teh hotel directly. Use https://www.1899.com to call teh US for peanuts. If you bnook the hotel they will just take a credut card number and not charge until you check out which is great.

Disney_cjd's already given you good advice about this - but I thought I would add that there are two car hire locations onsite at Disney if you particularly wanted that.

These are at the Dolphin Hotel (near to Epcot & Hollywood Studios) and the Car Care Centre near Magic Kingdom.

There is a further location on Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Downtown Disney but I forget which hotel.

These are all Alamo and we've booked in the past through www.usrentacar.co.uk

Thanks for this useful tip. How do I put in that I want to collect the car at Disney? Do I need to book for the Airport and then email them to tell them I actually want to collect it at Disney?
