Hello, can somebody advise please if it is possible to visit Disneyworld without a car?

I am thinking of taking my 12 year old son next year but don't drive and so need advice as to where the closest place to all the action is!! Also, what is the weather like in early April?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Best wishes

If your not going to have a car and defo want to visit Disney parks, stay at a Disney Hotel as they have FREE transport to all Disney areas;)

Carol, like Jetskidia says, the Disney hotels are very convienient for going to the parks, but a lot of the hotels in Kissimmee (and also on International Drive) do shuttle buses to the parks.

If you're going to stay off site (which we always do) make sure you research how good the hotel shuttle service is, as they seem to fluctuate massively. Ie some hotels have 3 or 4 different pick up times from the hotel in the morning, and others may only have one. Same for the return leg. The last thing you want after spending a full day wandering around the park and queuing for rides is a long queue for the shuttle bus home.

The reviews on TripAdvisor tend to have a fair bit of talk of the shuttle buses, if the hotel offers them :)

The weather in April will be nice and warm, with little downpours compared to the rest of the year

Certainly do able, I've stayed in Lake Beuna Vista area without a car and used the courtesy coach to Disney and then used the Disney buses or taken a taxi to Downtown Disney and then used the resort buses from there.

LBV is a nice area with lots of hotels, restaurants within walking distance, plenty of shops and also a lot of the hotels have courtesy buses to the outlet malls.
