Hi KLE, I have always used last minute villas where you enter your details eg dates, bedrooms and area and then the owners of likely properties will email you directly with quotes. I have always got good deals using this site and just a small tip, often the owners will reduce the price if you don't accept their first offer.

Hope this is of some help, sorry can't help with the car!
  • Thanks for the reply disney_cjd, will be booking the Marriot tonight.

Would recommend the Sheraton Sand Key in Clearwater. Have stayed there twice and had a fab time, am booking again for next year. Just what you need after a hectic time in Disney!

    Hi folks,

A colleague of my DH said she'd received free disney tickets for going to a timeshare presentation that she'd booked for £10. Has anyone done this? I though one MSEr may have given this a go.

I mention it because I was just checking Ebay for MK tix, and came across a company selling the timeshare MK ticket deal.

Also, no one answered me about a good area to stay, within reach of the parks and nightlife (not on their doorstep) and within reach of the gulf coast for a snorkelling spree. Any ideas PLEASE...

Aw thanks Triker! I'll trap on over there now!

BTW, just spoke to my DH about the girl who did the timeshare talk for free disney tix, and she (biggest freebie hunter in the world) said it wasn't worth it, cos she wasted a whold day at this talk.

  • I contacted attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk by email to query some ticket prices. I then called them back on the telephone number they gave me and I ordered my tickets. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. The confirmation email for my booking came from https://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk . Are they the same company? My friend says Ive ordered the tickets from a different company that shes not heard of. I wanted to use attraction tickets as Ive used them before and read a lot about them. Thanks.

disney fastpasses are free, you put your park ticket in the fastpass machine at the ride, and it gives you a fastpass ticket with a time to return.

are there any surcharges for doing lots of miles in a hire car? i'm planning a road trip to georgia for a gig while i'm there as well as a trip to clearwater/miami including (hopefuly) the late night shuttle launch on the 8th.

anyone car to suggest a good place to book for car hire? im looking at sanford airport from the 4th to the 18th oct. i'm 33 yrs old, have no points on my licence or anything like that, looking for a basic small car with aircon. dont need anything like extra drivers/satnav (i'll be bringing my trusty tomtom)

cheapest i've found so far is easycar.com at £170.88 (plus 9% quidco) this includes CDW. anyone got any tips/thoughts?

    *edit*
also, when you get to thire place and ask for your credit card, do they reserve an amount on the card, or just save it for later? i've only got one credit card with a £200 limit (deliberate choice).. it isnt going to get maxed out or anything is it? and does it matter if we give them my girlfriends credit card (higher limit)?
