I have just booked for 3 weeks in Orlando flying Aug 3rd 2009.
I have tried to book through various companies with no luck (too early), but a company have managed to book through US Airways, with stopover, although direct flights were available.
We booked as we have a villa booked and so just wanted to guarantee the flights.
The flights were £3495 for 3 adults and 2 children, stopping in Charlotte (2 1/2 hours), but saving £934 by stopping. (Just in case anyone is looking to book early and save some money)

Has anyone used Total Florida, are they good?
Has anyone stopped over in Charlotte, not that we are able to do much, but do they have good coffee bars etc?
    Any help appreciated.

On launch days, part of the site is shut, so tours are truncated.

Tickets for the launch pad, close to the take off, sell out in minutes.....like five minutes. You can get tickets for the main centre, but thats about five miles from the take off.

The downside is that it can take many many hours to get back to Orlando.

Ive heard the beach (Cocoa?) is a good free location to view from.

If you get your ticket stamped on exit, you can return for a visit on a second day for free.

Be aware that launch dates can change, due to weather etc, and if it moves outside your holiday, youre stuffed.
It certainly is. We spent an afternoon at a bar on Cocoa Beach waiting for a 5 O'clock launch. Get your seats early as about an hour before launch it gets vey busy.

The flights were £3495 for 3 adults and 2 children,

 £3495 just for flights, that is only £500 less than we have paid for our total holiday this year, including flights, car hire, hotel on disneyland resort, park tickets, and that is for 2 adults and 2 children, well 3 if you count the bun in the oven, i know prices are dearer for next year, as i did a quote with the same company everything the same as this year and the quote was £1900 more for next year, but £3495 on flights, u sure u could not get any cheaper
Take every day as it comes!!

I know, i cannot believe how much and one of the 'adults' is my 14 year old son....Last time we went we had a 12 year old son and 2 18 month old girls and the price was about £4,000 in total.
I still cannot believe that Disney class a 12 year old as an adult though, they really do grow up quick these days!

In Disney's world (no pun intended ;) ) they are actually adults at age 10, not 12.

To be honest, there isn't a huge difference between the adult and child prices for tickets anyway, but buffets are another story
  • BA & Virgin are doing flights to Orlando in September from £306, flying from Manchester, Gatwick. You have to book by 24th June.
My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

    I can spell...................I just cant type:confused:

Do you have to go BA? Have you tried Monarch- usually cheap.
