Incorrect info on ticket

Options
Hi, new to forum but appears to be some helpful people on here and hoping you can help me.

I received a parking ticket from a private parking firm, reason because it was paid via a mobile app and incorrect registration entered.

although i have proof of a payment made, predictably their in house appeals rejected our claim.

I've since noticed that although they have named the car park in question the address is incomplete (no road name) and completely incorrect postcode.

I am yet to do an official appeal through the IAS as from what I've read appears to be a waste of time.

i would appreciate peoples views on this

Many thanks

    Which parking company?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

reason because it was paid via a mobile app and incorrect registration entered.

So you send their Data Protection Officer an email 'Rectification Notice' telling them to put the inaccurate data right, and spelling it out.

Search the forum for RECTIFICATION DATA as I have no time to yet again type it all out...you need to just copy other ones all over the forum since June.

Did the app bring forward an older car reg as a default, or did the driver actually type it in wrong...how wrong? Entire wrong VRN typed in? Or carried forward by the app itself, and not noticed?

Please don't think those questions mean you now need to ask if the Rectification Notice still needs doing by email. Yes, it does.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The car is saved as default on the app but it was done by the 'repeat session' option as we use the car park regular so car is selected automatically and not realised error

I have a look for what you suggested

    Thanks
