After 6 months its the customers responsibilty to prove it was faulty inherently, the relevant act states this. So your not told to get lost.

If a business decides to swap/replace a faulty item with a new 1 then its up to them.

Be very careful now…DCFC79 sounds like it could be a Dyson Model No. and you'll be accused of working for them!

Never mind allow it. This thread is getting way out of hand and off topic :rotfl:

Ok summary of my understanding is so far of the rights:

before 6 months = there's a chance for customer service
after 6 months = shop tells you to get lost.

    Correct me if im wrong.
I though this thread died a natural death, have you nothing better to do but to keep dragging it back again, maybe you have some hoovering to be getting on with ;)

I've got a Gtech and the motor exploded after 9 months.

I could have gone to the retailer and complained and wasted ages or , as I did, rang Gtech direct and a whole new motor unit arrived next day.

I was without a working vacuum for 14 hours....

My parents did exactly the same, straight to G tech for a seized motor, theirs arrived after a couple of days

Is it sorted yet, and what relation is Marie to you
  • I bet this is the cordless Dyson that keeps cutting out?

In that case, the filter is clogged and needs cleaning. I am sure on Jimmy's site, there are instructions on how to do this and you will be able to make a clean sweep for the weekend!
