the court hasn’t sent me the DQ, gladrags have sent me their copy with the boxes filled to have a hearing outside of court and on paper.
I checked the newbies thread and learnt that it is best to deny this response and to say i want a court hearing.
I didn’t email my defence, i completed it on MCOL and submitted it there
i’ve checked MCOL and it doesn’t say i have anything to do
on the DQ gladrags has sent me, on the back page it tells me to fill it out and send it back but doesn’t specify where to send it and whom to send it to

You do nothing with the DQ from the Claimant except file it.
You now either wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
I have no idea why you didn't email your Defence as described in post #17 above. The reasons for making that suggestion are clearly spelt out in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread. Did I waste my time writing that?
Anyway, here's another suggestion:
Send your completed DQ to the CCBC using the email address mentioned in post #17 above as a signed PDF attachment.0 -
That’s fine.
I can fill out my own DC from the link provided.
But the DC sent from gladstones proposes i do the hearing through paper, i can’t simply file it because it has a page for me at the back to fill out to send back to the court and the other party.
If i disagree then they have to do it in a court hearing which is what i have been advised to do.
It states to send back to the court & the other party but doesn’t say where to send.
That is my problem0 -
ignore what i just said
upon further research from newbies thread i have found that when filling in my own DQ to the court, i state that i disagree with the proposed special request and the DQ from gladstone is just sent to deceive me
sorry for the confusion and for being a little slow

Not forgetting of course to send a copy of your completed DQ to the Claimant - address on your Claim Form.0

thank you

I emailed the following to CCBCAQ@justice.gov.uk
Please find attached three filled out Direction Questionnaires in signed PDF form.
I also would like to place a request to merge these three court hearings into one instead of three separate hearings. Each case is requested by the same claimant (Gladstone Solicitor’s) alongside myself as the defendant for all three cases.
The cases are also within the same matter and location and therefore it is a request upon the convenience for the court, claimant and defendant.
Claim Numbers:
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
I will send a copy of the filled in claim forms to Gladstone Solicitors too.
Do i have to let Gladstone know that i want to merge the hearings or will the court let them know from the email?
Also am i awaiting a reply from the email or any sort of confirmation?0 -
You must keep the Claimant informed.
Everything you send to the court must also be sent to the Claimant and vice versa.0 -
I have received a letter from the court, the 3 cases have been combined and placed into my local court for a hearing on the 19th March 2019.
Is 21 days before the hearing, the deadline for my witness statement?
What does a witness statement include?
On another note, I am also receiving court threats from National Debt Collections LTD on behalf for a parking fine with F1rst Parking at Aston University.
I have heard they have never taken anybody to court, it says I have 14 days to pay or they will commence legal action including bailiffs to seize goods.
Should I pay the £170?0 -

What does it say in the court letter about deadlines?
Check the NEWBIE section post # 2 for guide to the whole small claims process and then search the forum using witness statement as your search term in Advanced Search and click the radio button from Threads to Posts. A WS is your story of the events of the day and should relate to and back up your defence and refer to evidence upon which you want to rely. What does a witness statement include?0
