What are the Issue Dates on each of your Claim Forms?0
-
Will complaining to the MP help with my case?
I’ve received a CCJ from Northampton.
Do i have a chance of winning a case when it was my own fault for parking there with no defence points?0 -
Issue dates are all the same
9th November 20180 -
You have not received a ccj. You have a claim form that needs to be dealt with.
Yes you can win this however you need to put a fair bit of work in.0 -
I have just acknowledged each claim
This gives me 28 days ish to produce a defence
Where do i start?
I’m not familiar with any of this as i haven’t done this before
Do i use the newbies thread?
Can my three defences be identical?
What are my chances of winning if i put a fair amount of work in for a defence?
I have a lot of uni work piling up too as i’m in my final year but i don’t work so i will be able to allocate some time to working on it before my exams.
Will i have to attend court with my defence?
If i lose the defence do i get additional charges?
If i lose the court case do i get a CCJ / does it affect my credit score?
Would much appreciate it if you could clarify.0 -
With a Claim Issue Date of 9th November, you have until Wednesday 28th November to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.Issue dates are all the same
9th November 2018
Having done the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Wednesday 12th December 2018 to file your Defence.
A whole month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as described here:
1) Print your Defence.
2) Sign it and date it.
3) Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
4) Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
5) Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
6) Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
7) Wait for your Directions Questionnaire and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread to find out exactly what to do with it.0 -

If the circumstances are the same then the defences can be the same. In fact if the circumstances are all the same this should really be one claim. It may be worth contacting the court asking them to bundle these together as a single claim so as to reduce costs.
Use defence examples from the Newbies thread as a framework. Don't put in irrelevant things though. Take a good, long read of the Newbies thread.0 -
this is an amazing answer. thank you this clarifies the whole procedure very well.
I only have one last question in the aid of my defence?
If the reason i didn’t pay these fines was because of a similar thread that says i could ignore them and they won’t take me to court.
Without an actual reason, what is my actual defence against these lot?
I’ve checked the newbies thread and most of the cases have valid reasons,
I don’t have a valid reason apart from it just being somewhere i could park from work, there wasn’t a pay and display it was just a few bays that required a permit to park.
I do however know that on the LHS of the bays there was some land still part of the car park that didn’t have bays but you wouldn’t get ticketed for parking there. it wasn’t exactly clear where you could park and where you couldn’t park.
The place isn’t far from home even though i don’t work there anymore, i could go back and take some pictures to clarify what i am talking about.
I have video footage of one of the fines where i was the only person to get a ticket when other cars weren’t actually displaying a permit.
Also if i wanted to contact the court to combine these fines, is there any disadvantage in doing this?
Does this mean it will make Gladstone more worthwhile to take me to court once instead of three times?
Or am i guaranteed to be going to court all three times anyways?
If i combine these fines will i only have to pay one court fee and one legal representative fee? this would reduce my fine by £150
Also if i did want to combine these fines how would i contact the court? by post or by email?
Thank you, i appreciate this so very much i cannot explain!0 -

Also if my actual reason for not paying these fines is because of the majority of people told me i wouldn’t be going to court and that i could ignore them? What do i search for in the NEWBIES post as many of the cases there people have actual reasons for not paying their fines?
Is my defence just in the legal aspect of the claim without an actual defence from myself?
Thank you0 -
If you lose and it's 3 cases then you pay 3 sets of costs for 3 hearings. If they are bundled into 1 hearing you have knocked off a fair chunk of cash. For example a filing fee is £25/ case there is £50 reduction in that fee alone.
Courts don't like multiple cases on the same issue either. It wastes your time and theirs. You can email the court on the address above. If you don't hear something in about a week write to them.0
