  • Hi

I find it's always best to try and re-negotiate with the phone company and you often get a great offer. My cashback contract with Mobileshop finished so I phoned O2 to cancel, rather than switch the number off they offered me 12 months of 100 free mins and 100 txts for nothing! As long as I don't go over that limit there is automatic cashback and, I think, a small surplus at the end. It's just coming up for renewal so I'm going to find out what they offer this time.

  • Ok not sure if anyone gingernuts and the others are still looking but this came up on Asda mobile

Maybe useful? Seems ok phone VGA camera for £9 not bad. No bluetooth by the look of it, which is a bit of a downer. Please don't flame me if this has come up before. :)

Yes, I know it is a cashback deal, but apart from a little bit of hastle, once, I have had every cashback paid out, and I have been using e2save for 4 or 5 years now.

That said, I don't think this is a bad phone.

The deal is 11 months free on a 12 month 02 contract. £35 per month for 400 minutes and 500 texts. Then £136 automatic cheque after 2 months and claiming the remainder of cashback in months 6, 8, 10 and 12. This works out to be £2.92 per month, and if you go through Qudico, you will be in profit to the tune of £1.46.

Carphone Warehouse are selling the Sony Ericsson J110i black for £4.95 (plus £10 credit on Virgin). This includes free next-day delivery. If you have an existing PAYG contract with Virgin then it is possible to transfer the credit from the new phone to your existing number.

What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • I wonder if anyone can help me. My wife and I text abroad a lot (within the EU). We both have tarriffs that are pretty good value for inclusive minutes and texts within the UK, but texts to international numbers from the UK are a rip-off (I pay 25p per text on Vodafone, and she pays similiar on T-Mobile).

I've used OneCompare and other sites in the past, but none of them give any info on texts to international numbers. In addition, its quite difficult to find it even in tarriff details. Does anyone out there have a better recommendation for international texting?

    Thanks,
    D.
  • Send your text from the pc using 18185 and/or 1899 at 1p per text to many international destinations.

Hi - thanks for that suggestion. I'll look into texting from my PC, however, we do a lot of texting when not near a PC - so I would still be interested if anyone knows a cheaper option for texting to international numbers from a mobile phone?

Does that include the extra £2 credit that Virgin give you when you register the phone with them?
