Hi
Can anyone help with this?
I currently have a vodafone contract which comes to its end in May 08 I pay £16.00 (inc VAT) and for this I get 75 cross network minutes and 100 texts which i know is good however its not a good deal if I very rarely use my phone and when i do its for texts so I am interested in PAYG.
Does anyone know of any better deals? I would like to keep my number if possible but i dont mind which network i have:heart2: Proud mummy to Ryan born 14.2.09 :heart2:0 -
Hi Princess81,
If you think you'd prefer to move to Pay As You Talk (PAYT) from your contract account then you can do this with Vodafone if you're out of contract. Your number would migrate right over to a PAYT account with no need for porting codes or any other delays.
On Vodafone PAYT you can get the benefit of text packs and other great services (like Stop The Clock, Vodafone Family and Vodafone Passport) just like on contract, but there's also a fantastic proposition called Free Weekends.
With Free Weekends, all you need to do is spend £5 on calls, texts and internet during the week and then you get calls and texts free all weekend. The calls are to standard UK landlines and mobiles (not Premium Rate, International or non-geographical numbers) and the texts are to all major mobile networks in the UK.
If you only spend £2.50 during the week you'll get your calls free but not your texts. The purchase of text packs even count towards the weekly total at the full price of the texts, not the discounted pack price.
Hope this helps,

Hi again Princess81,
I have some more info for you that will help.
Can I just apologies for the info in relation to Free weekend, I think I can add a bit more value here.
With free weekend, if you spend £2.50 of your credit in the week between Monday and Friday then you have unlimited text messages all weekend to all UK networks. If you spend £5.00 or more, you get the free texts and also free unlimited calls to all Vodafone customers and UK landlines. You also get 60 minutes of calls to any other mobile network in the UK.
There is more info about free weekend on the Vodafone website here.
