    Hi grumbler

Thanks for your reply. I think they said I can have unlimited use of internet, except downloading - but I don't download much anyway! They also said it would be an 18 month contract.

Do you think I should except the deal? Personally, I thought they would offer me more than this since I have been with them for 12 years!!

Don't accept anything offered over a phone. Ask them to sent you an offer in writing or by e-mail.
With unlimited internet and for 18 months it is a reasonable offer.

And beware that smartphones use mobile data without asking you. Without internet allowance it is a bad deal as PAYG mobile data will cost you.
  • I think Vodafone is the best and cheapest network, been with it for years now and am very happy with it.

I'm looking for a 3g phone that I can pop my existing 3 SIM card in, as the battery on my current phone is slowly dying. Ideally I need something as cheap as possible. The cheapest thing I can find at the moment is the Nokia C2-01 on the three website, which would cost me £50 (£40 + £10 compulsory top up). Can anyone suggest anything a bit cheaper?

£10 1 month rolling contract with android phone - it's not an android in fact, but it's free even ignoring the cashback.

I have to say that the page at Tesco website changed to http://phone-shop.tesco.com/mobile-phones-and-sim-cards/sim-cards/sim-cards-listing.aspx?networkProvider=&price=0&texts=0&minutes=0

    £ 10.00 per month
    • 100 mins/3000 texts
    • 1GB data
    • Free 3 ZTE F930 Phone
    • 1 month contract
    Find out more

There was a picture of the phone, but now I see only "This offer includes a free 3 ZTE F930 Phone". Google for the image. This phone is £45 at Argos.

Do not sign up for a cashback deal, I have just been stung by one going bust, even though I have complied with their terms and conditions I have not had any money back and lots of other money savers are in the same boat. See the Fusion Mobiles thread if you are tempted by a cashback deal. I did my homework but will still loose out.

Thanks for the information! I was in the process of signing up for a cashback deal for the iPhone 4S and thought I'd just do some homework. Glad I found your post on time.

I think it was over-categorical statement about all cashback deals. Do more homework and you will probably reconsider.

    Hi Guys
Hope someone can help me quickly. My mum is in hospital and we are topping up her phone like every 5 days with £10. Can anyone tell me a good contract phone. Only need to be a basic phone, she need no internet or texts just lots of calls?
    Thanks in advance

    Why contract?

Get giffgaff sim card and you can get 250 minutes for £10 or 800 for 20. Get two sims and you'll get unlimited calls between them.

Icardmobile (PAYG) offer free calls within the virtual network too and charge 6p/min for calls to other networks, 4p to landlines.

Alternatively, get chitter-chatter 1 month rolling contract with the free unlimited landline calls booster for £6 p.m.

her phone is locked to virgin. I am only saying contract as i thought would be cheaper than top up every few days.
    Thanks for the info
