"Cheapest mobile" thread is really the best place to post the 'amazing' £1K deal for a toy with loads of unneeded airtime costing your more than £40 p.m.
And normally I don't hold my breath when I use quidco if there is no alternative.0 -

Maybe in this thread: MSE News: iPhone 4S prices released by networks? Or NEW THREAD: Cheapest iPhones article ?
I am not sure that it is worth posting at all without saying what you get for £35 besides the phone.0 -
I've read some of the posts here and realise I am paying far too much for what I get from TMob. Around £25-£40 a month but am tied into them until next October. What do I do when the time comes in order to end my contract with them or can I do it before then? I don't think so. But I haven't even got a decent handset as the last upgrade broke and I'm using an old one which I can't access internet or emails on. I'm not very savvy on mobile phones as you can see. Any advice for the future for me please.0

You give them 30 days notice that you want to end the contract or you request a PAC if you want to leave them and to take your number elsewhere....What do I do when the time comes in order to end my contract with them
Neither do I.or can I do it before then? I don't think so.
What about the warranty? It's 2 years for the majority of phones. But I haven't even got a decent handset as the last upgrade broke
Shop around. Loyality doesn't pay nowadays. 1-2 months before your contract ends post here your requirements and people here are likely to help you to find the best deals available.and I'm using an old one which I can't access internet or emails on. Many thanks. Can you please also explain what a PAC is.
I haven't gone down the warranty route as I thought if it wasn't insured I wouldn't be covered. I was always insured but nothing ever happened to my old phones then as soon as I stopped insurance the inevitable happened. Will enquire through Carphone Warehouse who sold me the phone.
Just one other question. How much is it reasonable to pay for a second hand handset (if I can't get a replacement through the warranty). I would quite like a touch screen type phone. Emails, internet, camera, music.0 -
Porting Authorisation Code. You get if from the current provider and give it to your new provider. Can you please also explain what a PAC is.
Difficult to say. New smartphones are available for less than £100.Just one other question. How much is it reasonable to pay for a second hand handset (if I can't get a replacement through the warranty). I would quite like a touch screen type phone. Emails, internet, camera, music.

Hi Folks
My contract is due to run out in the next few weeks and since I have been with T Mobile for over 10 years (!) they have decided to give me an free handset. At present, I have a Nokia 6300 and they are willing to give me the HTC Wildfire S, for free (which includes internet & satnav function). For that they want me to pay £14 per month which includes phone insurance, 100 minutes free and unlimited text. Do you think it is a good deal or am I getting ripped off?
To be honest, I don't have much knowledge about mobile phones and any advice would be grately appreciated.0 -
Satnav and internet capabilities are integral features of all smartphones, not something that t-mobile give you. You tariff has to include the internet allowance, but it is not clear that it does.Hi Folks

"Insurance" is meaningless unless you know what exactly is covered and how good is the company. Many companies only exist to charge the customers and then to find various excuses for not paying when it comes to a claim. And are you sure that £150 mobile needs insurance? For that they want me to pay £14 per month which includes phone insurance, 100 minutes free and unlimited text. Do you think it is a good deal or am I getting ripped off?
It isn't clear about the mobile data allowance, but I think the airtime they offer costs about £6 p.m. If it's 24 months contract, this makes the price of the phone £8x24=£192 - more than ongoing price of this phone on PAYG.
Do you really need unlimited texts?
100m+100t+Unlimited/500Mb cost £6 p.m. on 1-month rolling contract with the same t-mobile: T-Mobile Sim Only
Wildfire S cost £150 on t-mobile PAYG: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones/brands/htc/wildfire-s/0
