  • I'm looking for a good deal on a contract with an HTC Desire or an HTC Wildfire. Found a lot of good deals but they rely on cashback. Need at least 300 mins some texts and use of internet on phone. Just wondering if anyone has experience of cachback and if it's reliable from any websites.

i also searching for new phone. i have nokia 6300 - had it for three years, and it's dying. i've got quite used to alarm, notes and setting myself reminders ... not sure what cheap phone can give me those things. any ideas? looks like the one you suggested is mainly for phoning and texting, and i quite like the reminders options...

    ta for any help
  • Be careful if you find Carphone Warehouse are the best deal on a comparison site. The unlimited (or 3000MB) internet may not be what it seems.

I recently bought a HTC Wildfire on Orange Dolphin 15 through Carphone Warehouse. It was listed as unlimited internet. Since they were charging £29.99 for the handset and other providers offered it for free on Dolphin 15, I felt the unlimited internet was likely to be a genuine offer. Unfortunately not. They've signed me up to the regular 250MB internet Dolphin 15 with no add ons that increase the internet allowance.
  • I like Android phones, because lots of application is FREE.
  • Does anyone know the best site to compare upgrade?

I am on orange and I can upgrade soon. I want the desire HD. Do you guys know the cheapest place. I don't mind cashback as I have done it since 2001 and never missed a cashback claim

I'm currently on a Simplicity monthly rolling contract with O2. I get 150 mins (but only use 120 or fewer) and 300 texts (use about 250) which costs £10. I've been on this for around 12-18 months now.

My mobile is a basic Sony Ericsson which is between 4-5 years old. I now want to get the Nokia C3-00 which looks like a Blackberry but I want a similar deal to the one I've got now - ideally no fewer minutes/texts for £10 a month.

So far the following looks like the best deal for me: buy the Nokia phone for £59.97 from Tesco Mobile and I was thinking of getting their £10 SIM to put in it which would give me 500 mins and unlimited texts for £10 a month on a monthly rolling contract. It's a much better deal than O2 (in fact I can't see my current O2 plan on the O2 website which suggests it's no longer available). The only drag is having to change my mobile number and of course cancelling the contract with O2.

I'm assuming that even though Tesco Mobile use O2 for their coverage, I can't just put my O2 SIM into the new Tesco mobile phone? That would be easiest as I wouldn't have to change providers, just get the new phone. I'm not sure I want the hassle of trying to unlock the new phone if it comes to that.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

If you're happy with cashback, I've almost finished an 18 month contract set up through mobiles.co.uk, had all my cashback and got the £40 (it's £50 now) cashback from Quidco as well

About to set up a new contract for the Desire Z as well.

Have you seen the Desire HD first though, I had a look in a store and thought it was too big

My husband's mobile died suddenly, so someone gave him an old vodafone one. he put his asda sim in it and it worked just fine. as asda use vodafone for their coverage, i'm asuming it would be fine in your case too.
  • hi,
beware of mobile shop. I have two phones with them and unable to get cashbacks despite all their promises. Does anyone know if they are in difficulites or what the matter is with them.

I think it will better than buying from online shop or Ebay, choose the Paypal payment,it's very safe, would not cause this problem.
